Yeezus is not a GOOD music album. It's Roc/Def Jam.

Roc won really hard this year

Jay Elec bout to drop Act II in December

Yeah I know about Yeezus. Neither is BOATS II, which is why I put those together. I still think they're GOOD tho.

I don't know if you guys are into his shit, but Flume's releasing a deluxe version of his debut album, and one of the discs will be mostly focused on rap and soul features. I dig his sound so I'm looking forward to it.

But they're not. Those are not the labels they were released on. 2 Chainz isn't a GOOD music artist in any capacity.

Totally fair.

2 Chainz is definitely a GOOD affiliate though, see DONDA art, presence on Cruel Summer, etc etc.

But your point stands.

After hearing Born Sinner, not only do I have no desire to play it again but I really don't want to hear J Cole ever again until he gets his sound together.

I'm telling you.

A J Cole pure trap mixtape would be reallllly cool.

See- his verse on Diamonds. Its shockingly swaggy

Diamonds was a good track, but J Cole trying to make trap beats is begging for failure. Shit would sound so flat.

Born Sinner had dope tracks, just a lot of filler, IMO.

I'm OK with lows or bad tracks but J Cole's bad or alright tracks are also really boring to me. Always has me itching to put something else on.

Yeah, I don't see anything wrong with his sound or production either TBH. Project could have been trimmed a bit, but it was still full of dope songs.

Nothing is wrong with either. Nothing is wrong with not liking it either, but people bitching hard because reasons.

They are boring, but I just dont listen to them again. His bad tracks dont offend me in anyways, so I just skip them. It is pretty damn easy.

Higher??? WTF lol. Okay can pusha please make an album that sounds like nostalgia and numbers on the board all the way through then pleaseeeee

on the Juan Epstein interview push said that Kanye actually wanted to cut the 4 softest tracks and just go all out on the gritty coke shit.

im guessing those were Sweet Serenade, Let Me Love You, 40 Acres and No Regrets.

Can't wait for this cypher tonight.

Someone making a new thread if it's really control pt2

Pusha with that W. Pusha should've let Kanye cut off those 4 soft tracks and just keep the grimy shit.

Danny didn't do Kreayshawn numbers so that's a W.

I don't think anyone in those Eminem threads going crazy about this song even listens to rap anymore

It really pains me to see people hating on Born Sinner in here. I thought it was a good album and showed J. Cole grow as an artist.
It has a nice cohesive theme and soundscape. J. finally drops his college boy raps and gets on his grown man shit. The production game has been stepped up. And even the obvious radio singles on the album (Crooked Smile) aren't completely terrible.

I'm guessing Kanye didn't wanna cut 40 acres- Ye isn't above sung hooks if they're good, and he likes the dream. And that song is dope.

I can't blame him. I mean I don't even dislike those tracks but it is just that those gritty songs are by far my favorites. I was really surprised how much I liked Pusha album since I am not really the biggest Clipse fan and Lord Willin is my favorite from tthem

So fucking glad Pusha sold well album deserved it and its in my top for this year. GOOD music came trough for me this year outside of Sean this Yeezus John Legend and even Cudi did good this year.

Let me love you is really the only one that doesn't for me. The others you've mentioned have pretty hard lyrics from Push it's just the hooks on those make em sound soft initially.
