Yeezus Tour the second-highest grossing tour of the year behind Paul McCartney

The year of Kanye West is closing on a high note.

West's Yeezus jaunt grossed an impressive $25 million, earning him second place to Paul McCartney's $45 million, on the list of 2013's most successful tours, Billboard.com reports.

Huge tour sales are a big win for the 21-time Grammy winner after his Yeezus release marked the lowest first-week sales of his career. The "Bound 2" MC promoted Yeezus with spot performances and interviews, and announced the tour — his first solo run in five years — in early September. Within a month of its launch, the tour was postponed due to equipment issues, but brought in roughly $1 million per show as of late November, according to Forbes.com.

The first ever truly crowd-sourced album -- Strange Journey Volume Three by CunninLynguists -- now has an official release date. Not happy simply "crowd-funding" a release via Kickstarter like so many other artists, Deacon The Villain, Natti & Kno asked their fans for no money -- instead they spent a year interacting with fans via social media & allowing them to vote on guest artists, suggest song concepts, letting them peek in on studio sessions & make decisions on album artwork. CL will begin taking pre-orders on March 24th via their website with an official release date of April 1st. Strange Journey Volume Three will be released digitally, on CD & double vinyl worldwide via Bad Taste Records and will feature fan-selected artists such as Murs, Del The Funky Homosapien, Aesop Rock, Grieves, Celph Titled, Zumbi of Zion I, Tonedeff and more. In support of the release, CL will be embarking on a series of tours spanning the globe starting on April 4th with Strange Universe West Coast Tour in conjunction with SToK USA & Ineffable Music -- dates will be announced shortly so stay tuned!

Not a fan of Common and No I.D. doing another album. The project is probably going to bore me like the last one.

Yeah, it just frustrates me when artists give date estimates and the actual releases are no where near them. Kno said it would be September, then November. Oh well.

I thought Pusha was locked in the studio for the first two weeks of January to work on King push, not a new Clipse album.

yeah, i can see that - i love No ID but we got one of those already, kinda wish dude would do Cocaine 80's or whatever else he likes, Com i don't know who he should be fucking with (easy answer was Ye again cause Be was amazing but yeezy's not currently in this stratosphere so there's that), who would y'all wanna see producing?

I think com is an interesting and variable enough emcee to use whoever he wants. Alc, Harry Fraud, Ka, Arch Druids, Statik Selektah....

Trill OG The Epilogue was miles better than Trill OG which is HILARIOUS considering The Epilogue is actually verses and stuff that didn't make it onto Trill OG
