Imperial is definitely one of my top 3 but it begs the question. Why is nobody reviewing Denzel Curry? There seems to be no publication push at all. Pitchfork hasn't reviewed any of his tapes. It makes no difference to me, but popularity comes with recognition from a lot of these sites. Just odd to me that a decently popular underground rapper is getting little coverage.

y'all ever think about what you'd do if you got stuck in like a 1,000 year purgatory? or looping groundhog day or something

i'd prolly spend the fist century or so just reading everything, you know? every comic, every book ive ever wanted...maybe learn a few languages & try reading some shit in its original tongue. like, fuck it, where do i gotta be? only, id have to work in athletics too, so as to not get lazy..maybe i'd use YT (which i'd clearly have access to in this scenario) and try to get better at boxing, maybe try my hand at some shit i never even played, like water polo or whatever the fuck badminton is.

eventually, you gotta figure i'd get around to learning some musical instruments, which again would be tricky from just YT/etc since i'm more a tactile learner, but maybe i'd just force myself to give each thing an entire week - of course, broken up with more reading/sports stuff/porn etc to keep myself centered. i imagine i'd sleep a great deal here too.

all of this could maybe take me halfway through my journey - and you might be thinking "fucksake irish, what you gonna do with all the rest of that time?"...and you know? i don't rightly know, honestly. i'd like to think there'd be drugs about, and other options i've not yet thought of.

but during that whole time, wouldn't once need to know the thoughts of piers morgan, azella banks, joey or troy. like, if i started to even hear them speak, i'd bet i'd be reminded of all the stuff i've not done yet.

If I had a thousand years I'm not sure exactly what I'd do with it, but I know one thing for sure. By the end I still would be baffled at how popular future's mumbly dick chewing mush mouthed autotuned preschool lyric having ass is.

Spotify just secured like 1 billion in additional funding. They need to spend it on something.

It's gonna be either Soundcloud or TLOP.

Soundcloud just launched a subscription service of their own. Expect more ads and possibly other restrictions for those of us who don't want to pay $12 a month for what we once had for free. SC has been headed in this direction for a moment now.

I suppose it was inevitable, but I'm not looking to add yet another stream subscription to the rest, especially when they don't offer the extensive artist catalogues of the services they're trying to compete with.
