Gahiggidy appreciation thread

No matter what you think of him, he is always good for a laugh. I can't believe how quickly he turned positive on the revolution after the rev specs being revealed. His brain must be like some kind of rollercoaster. :p

Honestly?

Well, it was is hugely dissapointing that the hardware won't be cutting edge. I've maintained that HDTV should be in on the belief that it would be at least close to the 360. Now that its clear that is not even in the same class of hardware, all the HDTV petitions are a moot point. Now I feel kinda stupid for buying up this website. What the fuck am I gonna so with that now?! The 1090up.org guys should just throw in the towl... unless ATi can come up with some miracle solution that allows output in hdtv without sacrificing effects.

But hey! If they are going to go this route and undercut the competion... at least go all out!! And with only 104MB of memory, they are REALLY GOING ALL OUT. :lol The idea of a console targeting a mass-market price form day-1 is something that's very, very exciting. And I am already convinced that the RevMote is the greatest advancement to video games since 3D. So, I believe that the revoltuion, if marketed carefully... will indeed be a huge hit. HUGE. Microsoft and SOny are gonna look like total assholes asking $400 for thier consoles... all with controler tech that's a decade outdated.

But the truth is that I'm sort fo partial to pretty graphics... and comparing the visual fidelity "Super Mario 104" up against "BLiNX 3: Bump-Map ThiS!" is going to be a tough one. No one can say that they didn't want to see Nintendo's best rendered in the lastest and greatest technology.

You could turn it into a site about all things Gahiggidy, you're one of the few personalities that stick out on GAF... take some pride in yourself damnit!

I remember the first time I saw the word Gahiggidy, it was in a post that JohnTV replied to with a :lol , and the original poster had ended their post with /Gahiggidy. I had no idea what the word meant, I just thought it was some weird laugh or something.

He seems like a die-hard Nintendo fan if their ever was one though.
 
Even though I believe the guy has had me banned in the past, I still read his posts because you just never know.......his love/hate relationship every minute a new nintendo announcement is made is too funny to pass up.

I liked the old avatar of the sad looking girl better than the new one.

I don't know if that's true, but I'm sure there are plenty of gamers (with a pronounced appreciation of Nintendo) who just won't participate in discussions simply because, clearly, the mods like a rigged game.

So, if he's like me, he's learned to just keep it shallow....!
 
I prefer Alciabades. He is so much more earnest and frightening. He's half Gahiggidy, half Isamu, but ALL Alciabades. Plus he's real, and he's a right wing neocon.

Well that's my point. Not many can say they have a large and detailed GIF in honor of them. Sure it's a joke, but he was obviously worth the time and effort.

I knew gahtitty back before Nintendo busted him in the chops. Those sales threads of yore are some of my fondest GAF memories. I'll never forget when he was hanging on to some old ass European numbers just to prove that GC was ahead of Xbox in sales. Once Xbox had a clear lead it just broke him.

Gahiggidy is one of my favorite members here, I wish he would post more often because every single one of his posts is something to be cherished.

LOL...yup the good ol days. Though with 360 out now, he may bring those numbers back if box sales die out. hehehe
 
My favourite Gahiggidy post was the one on old GAF where he thought that part of the reason the Gamecube was trailing was because retailers weren't keeping every title on the shelf. So because people didn't see every Gamecube game on the shelf it was hurting their sales :lol
