Yeah but you haven't seen pentile on a screen with this kind of resolution before. In such a small size. I guess viewing it in person will be key.
bytesized said:God, now I think I will buy the nexus. How much do you guys think it will cost in europe? with and without contract
OriginalThinking said:Without contract you can pre-order now at HandTec for £510. I already have. It's cheaper than Clove and Amazon. On Contract expect £35 per month.

The Galaxy Note is going to be sooooooo awesome on ICS. I just hope they don't muck around with the UI too much and put in the horrible Touchwiz icons. I love that ICS has native stylus support too.
bytesized said:What about Eurozone? (living in the Netherlands) 510pounds is a lot of euros :S
OriginalThinking said:Couldn't tell you. Is there a Dutch website that specialises in selling sim free smartphones?
P.S I still consider Britain to be part of the Eurozone even if we don't use the currency!
bytesized said:haha sorry, meant it as Euro-zone

These hd screens are amazing. I could probably replace my iPad with them (at least until the iPad3 comes out) if Android had its own version of Newsstand.OriginalThinking said:Without contract you can pre-order now at HandTec for £510. OriginalThinking said:White was white on my Nexus S and it was Pentile. First world problems eh?
And when in the presence of an HDTV you can play movies back on the big screen using a micro USB to HDMI cable. Awesome eh? I do hope the next version of Android includes DNLA. I want to stream wirelessly. No cables please.

I've had the exact opposite experience. Whenever I load up a new rom, my phone starts off slow. Once it caches a lot of information, it flies.D'ultimate said:Man, the UI seems so smooth in the Greek videos. Impressive.
I wonder if it's just that new phone look and response though. After awhile of use it seems the phones (maybe Android) start to get less and less responsive.

Cipherr said:Does anyone else think that other manufacturers will keep the capacitive buttons on their ICS phones next year? (I mean, when they update touchwiz and the like to ICS)
It's just HC in a phone. Sheesh.Jtwo said:
The main, bigger pixels on the screen are red and blue, the smaller subpixels are green. The only way to see the green colors are with a microscope/macro camera (they're that small). The green color is not visible to my eyes on my nexus one.Unknown Soldier said:This doesn't make sense. Are you saying it looks white with the naked eye but when you zoom in on it, it turns green? That doesn't sound possible or logical.
Seriously though I do agree, it really is shining in the newer videos and looks like the perfect blend of Android on a phone.Jtwo said:Oh shush, I was imagining "stacks" like functionality with browser tabs from the app switching menu. Whatever, that would be sweet and all it made me do is wish that was actually a feature.

1) That is the GSM model of the phone.
2) I want it.
The subpixles.... Wait that doesn't apply here.Copernicus said:How can you tell?
LTE version doesn't have a Samsung logo, it's got verizon's 4G LTE logo under the camera and the Google logo below that.Copernicus said:How can you tell?
?Pctx said:It also has a HIGHER pixel density than the Nexus
How can this be possible when the screen size and resolution are exactly the same?Pctx said:[IM]http://cfile3.uf.tistory.com/image/16789E464E7C5CCE164429[/IMG]

It also has a HIGHER pixel density than the Nexus and comes @ 1.5GHz. Seriously--- did anyone post this?!?!?!?!
This man wins the interwebs.Unknown Soldier said:GSII is Super AMOLED Plus which is RGB, not PenTile. So it has higher pixel density than Galaxy Tuna.
That's subpixel density, not pixel density. The SII HD is still PenTile.Unknown Soldier said:GSII is Super AMOLED Plus which is RGB, not PenTile. So it has higher pixel density than Galaxy Tuna.
