I thought the common talking point was everyone was oversampling Ds.. but if reading right, they were actually oversampling Rs?
Republicans don't like to admit it, but there are more democrats then there are republicans. It's been that way for awhile.

How would that undo the need for pollsters? Also, why do you think we need pollsters as opposed to just want them? Also, why do you think the government would be interested in addressing what you perceive to be a need in the first place?

Voting on the internet with live results. Computers, mang, computers.

Another problem with the polling this cycle was the number of Republicans identifying as Independents. It's why Romney was winning Independents so heavily and Democrats seemed over polled.

Republicans have been trying to push the idea that "there are more Republicans than Democrats" and that America is a fundamentally center-right country for years and years now.

Providing live results of voting tallies is a real fucking horrible idea.

Why? It would kill the media narrative with hard data. Pollsters attempt to distort data with bias, and attempt to get early voting results. Live, 100% actual results invalidates that. Months of early voting would fix all of this voter suppression stuff. Why do we wait in lines like computers haven't been invented?

Republicans in congress don't trust computers. I don't think that's a suppression thing, actually...I think there is a class of Republican leadership that legitimately believes they'd be used to steal elections.

Because it allows those who are willing or capable of voting earlier to influence the voting choices of those who vote later. It's quite obvious that the feedback of "Candidate X has a big percentage lead, I don't need to vote" would change the outcome of some elections.

Then have the ability to look up your voting record personally, and have a random slice of the electorate be required to confirm their record sort of like jury duty. If numbers are cooked, the algorithm would expose it.

Who is the say it wouldn't rally the losing side? Gallup certainly didn't stop Obama from getting elected despite the national polling favoring Romney until the last week.

There's a reason why votes are not counted until all polls are closed. Come on dude, it is election 101. Every country in the world does it this way. An election is not some random Internet polls.

You wanna try explaining that to a bunch of old guys who are barely computer literate as it is? You don't have to talk ME into it ;p

The good news is we are one generation away from this not being a problem anymore.
