Sorry I won't do that anymore, still though I didn't say anything lol can't imagine why someone would be upset over that.

I don't think yours was bad, it simply said that you've read spoilers. In his case (if I remember correctly), it mentioned a specific character and something like "can't believe what messed up stuff he goes through!" or something to that effect. It wasn't too bad, but it did hint at bad things to come for that character, which counts as a spoiler.

Your post mentions a theory that doesn't make sense and hasn't been discussed, so I was wondering if you was just speculating, or if you was spoiling. Sorry, I should have been more clear.

"I could have that head on a spike by now. Instead, I have a mill" - King in the North

Great writing.

SRSLY. Just when I thought he was getting too soft and becoming over burdened, he shows his guts.

Also, I can't imagine Rob will be happy about Jaimie missing a few pieces. Once he sees Jaimie, all he'll see is Sansa missing a hand...

Well, we know that

1| Littlefinger is going to the Vale
2| Littlefinger offered to take Sansa out of the city.

Now, I want you to read both of those points, and think very carefully about how I may have reached the conclusion that Sansa may end up at the Vale.

Putting it as a link in case someone hasn't seen the ending of this episode yet:

CHOP!
I totally knew he was gonna do something to Jaime, but I expected it to be a finger or so...

Regarding Daenerys: It's very obvious that she wants to free the slaves with minimal casualties. They even mentioned in the episode that the Unsullied don't rape etc. and only kill their targets.
Slave seller guy seems to be too stupid. I mean, yeah sure, have ALL my men (apart from some guards I guess) and I'll take that dragon which very likely only listens to you anyway.
Seems too easy actually, I wonder if there is some Order 66 stuff that e.g. prevents the Unsullied from attacking their former masters?

Podrick, swimming in whores. Never knew he had it in him. Nor did Bron and Tyrion. Lots of arrows in this episode, some hitting the mark (the mark being someones face from 4 inches away) and others going for a swim.

I loved the scene with the chairs.

This show. THIS SHOW.

(nice wolf-cake)

Fuck this shit, nothing happens and then they cut off the hand of my favorite character. Seriously everytime i get to watch a new episode i'm just hoping i can see him in action, that little fight on the bridge was awesome.

I love this show but sometimes man.

that fight felt stiff as fuck. i don't like how they have so much money for set design apparently but they can't afford a decent fight choreographer (and if he is decent then i don't know why he's so crap for this series)

whenever this show has a duel it just feels like a few lumbering oafs and there's no grace or spectacle to it. thankfully the action scenes are few and far between.

I feel like Game of thrones is becoming slow. Not much is happening and it starts feeling like a soap-opera. There's too much dialogue, I liked Season 1 better.

Also, the chair gimmick was ripped straight off Men In Black.

It's always going to be slow in the beginning, that's the build up.

There's no grace and spectacle in an actual sword fight

That's what people say when shows get mediocre (I heard the same thing around seasons 3-4 of Battlestar Galactica).

Uh, I never watched that past season 1 because it was an awful show, but I don't get the comparison at all here. Plenty of shit happened in the last episode and you can tell plenty of more shit's gonna hit the fan soon. *shrugs* "Too much dialogue" just seems like a ludicrous complaint about a show that's been mostly about dialogue since day 1.

What, should they be doing pirouettes and using longswords like they were rapiers? Fencing instead of hacking and stabbing?

well this is a fantasy series, i'm sure they can sacrifice realism for entertainment.

and no not rapiers lol. i'm comparing these fights to lotr or gladiator, or if you want to talk about tv shows: spartacus or vikings.

hell even the showrunners' own movie troy had a really sweet fight in there between hector and achilles. the fights in here are sloooow in comparison

Not sure what show you've been watching. S1 had a ton of dialogue as well.
Seasons 1 and 2 of BSG were 100% plot and the dialogue merely served it. Then every episode started depicting the characters as if they were seeing a psychoanalyst (which Terminator the Sarah Connor Chronicles did in a literal fashion in its second and last season).

The swordfights in Spartacus look good but they're borderline comedic. Vikings has fights almost exactly like the ones in GOT. People hacking away, slipping and stumbling all over the place. All the while using lighter weapons and armor than GOT.

eh, spartacus got comedic at times with the slow-mo. but lately it's fights were on point. some of the best sword-fights i've seen.

you could argue that the heavy armor makes them slower in game of thrones, but it also just makes it kind of boring to watch when they fight too :(

vikings doesn't seem similar at all to GOT's duels. but then ragnar doesn't wear armor and just goes in like a boss with his axe.

I agree with you, especially since I watched The Hobbit recently. It's not about being slow, they are just coreographed poorly. Reminds me of the fight scenes in The Dark Knight Rises, it looks like two untrained people going through the steps.

Spartacus was damn nice when the show had no time for slo-mo and kept the blood at less than ludicrous levels. The last episode was a brilliant example of that.

A Battle of Blackwater-like episode with some action at the same level as Spartacus' finale would be tremendous.

Tremendous.

I didn't like the ending music. Just didn't fit in at all. Too modern in a sense. They could have just replayed the guys singing on the horse, but I understand they were going for that wtf shock value.

I don't know, I get there is a lot more story to follow, with more characters, I just don't think the constant cut aways will work much longer. We get like a random 1 minute clip of someone's story before it cuts away again.

And it sort of makes the more heavy scenes suffer. Meaning, I'd rather have more time beyond the wall, seeing Jon and how he's been doing with the Wildlings as opposed to Podrick's sexcapades or a goodbye to Hot Pie.

Sure those moments resonate with the viewer, but you're also trying to tell a story no? We've had about 3 scenes with Mance Rayder and Jon and now they're about to attack the wall.

I think it's just going to get tougher the more characters come and the more intense the stories get.

The Sea is Always Right
Except they didn't and it was actually Tyrion who had paid them already. The gift Tyrion gives Pod isn't actually some whores, he's trying to give Pod some confidence. This is of course a much better gift and in fact worthy enough with Pod saving his life and all that.

/speculation

I thought that was well done. Very subtle.

Yeah that's the point I was trying to make :)

Great episode, hilarious ending. The brothel scene was pure HBO "lets hit our nudity quota" nonsense.

Waifu.

Is there a name for that hairstyle I was trying to describe that actress to my friend today but all I could describe her by was "The hot chick with the sideshow bob hair". :lol

Did anyone else find the Pod, Bron, and Tryion scene after the whitehouse out of place and not in character with the show?

The scene seemed to throwaway to actually been left in the final edit. Anyone else think there was more to Pod keeping the money then him being good in the sack?

Arya is too big now. I want the innocent munchkin back. :(

well, she isn't really much taller now, but she certainly uh, blossomed in other areas from what I've seen from the pictures in the Sam thread. It's probably a good thing that she's wearing leather armor all the time

He would have been perfect as that Wildling who's rolling with Mance and Jon mistook him for Mance (name escapes me). Can't separate Mark Antony and Ceasar.

Tormund Giantsbane? I can't say that James Purefoy would be perfect for the giant bearded viking type, but it would be cool to see him on the show.

It was bugging me during ep 2, but I finally realised during this episode that the dude who captured/is escorting Ayra is Dennis Pennis.

It's weird seeing so many long forgotten British actors appearing in GoT. The casting continues to be amazing.

I thought it was funny. *shrug

I noticed someone had quoted me in my user control panel and checked out the post thinking it was this thread, turns out it was the thread with tagged book spoilers and I probably would have been spoiled had it not been for a poster looking out and asking he alter his post.

I dodged a bullet there most likely.

Jesus this episode was filled with awesome sauce. Dany basically says "stfu bitch", Rob mans up, Jamie loses his hand RIGHT AFTER he shows his humanity and saves Breaan from being gang raped. Also I don't remember there being so much comedy in one episode before.

The chair scene was funny, the after brothel scene was hilarious, and I found a lot of humor in the "Rob Stark turns into a wolf and eats his enemies" scene lol.

Theon, man. Something is going on with him and it is really interesting, but I was pissed when he betrayed the Starks last season so I hope he gets it good, almost like he did lol

I have a feeling that Dragon deal will go south and it will leave and rejoin Dany. It is a ruse, it has to be. Why the hell would she ditch a Dragon that could easily topple an army when fully grown!?
