"Every time a Targaryen is born, the gods flip a coin."
Make that what you will.

I don't think he meant it like that. I think he meant that because she's a high born and he's a lowly bastard with no parents or prospects, she can say she's his family all she wants, but she'll be his 'lady' in the sense that they aren't equals. Like he'll serve her. Which is true. Even if she took him to Riverrun, no one knows he's the bastard son of Robert Baratheon there. They'd think he's some poor smith who helped her, give him some gold and keep him around as a servant.
Generally yeah, but mostly, the common folk couldn't care less about who is on the throne as long as there's peace.
(I didn't think that was a spoiler but if people want I'll tag it)
I can't stand these comments calling the Lord of Light followers a cult. Followers of a religion were higher powers act directly isn't the definition of a cult. Might as well call the Starks a cult with that criteria.
The worshippers of R'hllor are a foreign religion in Westeros. They aren't a cult or sect. They are a major religion in other parts of the world, with a number of worshippers.

They conduct human sacrifice. That's definitely a cult.
That's not the definition of a cult.
What definition of cult are you using to say that?
Rewatching the episode now and noticed in the intro that Winterfell was smouldering.
Nice attention to detail.

You call the Aztec religion a cult?
If you practice it in a country where human sacrifice is not normal, sure.
Was there a change to the slave city this episode? I didn't pay attention to the intro
That doesn't make a cult a cult.

Yes it does.
a cult is a religious practice that is considered outside of the mainstream by the rest of society.
Actually if you go by the textbook definition(and logic), any religion is a cult, but thats a whole other matter.
Nothing escapes your keen eye lol
Also in the episode that he found out about Dany being pregnant he took off right away to some city. He said he would catch up with the horde. Probably sent the info across the sea. This was before the poison attempt and the dragon birth. I'm sure he's 100% behind her now after everything they've been through.I missed it, too. I remember the small council meeting and Robert wanting to kill Dany, with Ned opposing. I didn't catch that Varys told Ned that Jorah was the informant, though. Sheesh. So why the hell did he protect her when the assassin finally arrived?
Your gif review was spot-on.Episode review in gifs.
Does anyone believe Jamie's story though? The guy is a grade A manipulator. My first thought was that he is lying just so he can gain Brienne's sympathy.

But Cersei admires her father (or at least admired) and loathes Tyrion.
yeah, I'd rather be backstabbing my father than marry Sansa too
i doubt his girlfriend would like that. he is in love already, what does he need sansa for? He loathes his dad, as soon as he smells what cersei is up to he will be onboard.
so Tyrion and Cersei should like totally kill Tywin
Cersei is more likely to literally stab her father in the back. Tyrion would likely flee before physical confrontation with him.
Pretty muchWhy is Arya the greatest character? Every action you want everyone else to take, she actually does, and everything you with everyone would say, she says. Plus she had great scenes this episode. Her exchange with Gendry was such a "d'awwww" moment and her running after the hound with a knife. I just. Even her actress is incredible. *Fangirl*

One confusing thing from last night....so Rob is going to ask the Frays for help? The same family he screwed over by marrying a different woman than he was supposed to? Err....

It explains where all the wildfire from last season came from. They already had it.
Did they (Catelyn) promise all the Stark children to the Frays? If they did, surely this does not bode well for Arya, seeing as the Brotherhood is taking her to Robb. Will she get married off?
EDIT: I have just made myself very upset with that thought.![]()
Not all. Robb and Arya.
