I dont get the Watch. Didn't Jon tell them about the white walker army. They dont give a fuck about that? Makes no sense and so petty against impending doom.

They're a bunch of bitter, angry, closed minded old fools. And they haven't been laid in years (if ever). You can't expect them to listen to reason.

Because he would obviously answer with, "Oh yeah. I'm totally getting revived by the red woman lollllz".

He's not going to give away a major plot twist for an interview in Entertainment Weekly.
Only thing in that interview is it says he cut his hair?
Did he really? Kit was on Jimmy Kimmel this week and still had the Jon look

Ending the season with a "is this the end for Jon Snow?" cliffhanger is still really dumb and annoying, but these are the same people who somehow accidentally directed a rape scene so who knows what they intended.

Did they though? They showed the dude get stabbed multiple times and bleed out in the snow. Everyone is hoping he gets brought back and is finding clues for how that might happen but I'm not seeing a cliffhanger there.

I'm likin Daenerys since she's kind of thick now. Oh..that's politically incorrect to say these days...I mean, she looks nice. better?

Watching Stannis lose everything in a matter of minutes was heartbreaking. I've been on his team since season 2...god damn.

The fucking build up... just to die like that. Fuck man...I cared more for stannis than jon snow lol.

Not surviving three gut shots and wherever Ollie stabbed him. He's dead, Jim.

I had the same love for Stannis until he killed his daughter. He got what he deserved.

Good things happen to bad people, and bad things to good. The trend continues. *sigh* why do I even bother. Even Arya's redemption was ruined almost immediately.

This is what bugs me about some TV dramas as of late. Same shit in Walking Dead.

Like the characters go through some batshit crazy events. And not alone, with many eyewitness accounts.

It is a recurring theme in the show and ultimately what gets Jon killed. He is one of the few people in the world that sees the bigger picture. The men who betray him don't see the big picture and lead them to branding him a traitor. They still think the enemies are the wildlings and have forget that the wall was built to protect the realm against the WW not the wildlings. They are stuck seeing the small picture and it going to get them all killed.

If true I feel terrible for not noticing naked body double. There were shots from behind where I thought it might not be her for some reason and she didn't look exactly like she has in the past physically but people get older or something!

The fire woman's magic has always worked in the past though. Doesn't make sense that it didn't do anything but melt a little snow,

I dont think it worked at all. I think they got lucky with the weather. He knew it when he got the bad news about the troops. He was just like, fuck it, lets finish this. Imo.

The show isn't exactly subtle about it's foreshadowing, and it's been foreshadowing the witch having an interest for him all season, and her showing up to the wall right before the end is no exception. Not to mention all the not subtle references about his origin that was happening this season. It's not reaching like hoping Syrio or The Hound is still alive is.

Dead yeah, but hope for resurrection.

It's okay, I didn't notice it either.

we've lost Stannis

and Jon is dead as well.

there is no hope for the North.

there is no hope for Westeros.

may the gods help us.

season was as gloomy as the first season of The Leftovers. Fuck man. Only thing missing was a choice musical track from James Blake.

RIP Jon, you deserved better. RIP yet another Stark (I guess?). Oh and GG, Aria's eyes.

That said, my team is still whole, baby.

Hated that ending. One of the only two characters whose survival I cared about. Olly you stupid fucking idiot. "Jon Snow is a traitor for bringing our hated enemy to us, even if it's clear that we and the whole realm would suffer a sure death without them in the long run and pretty much anybody with a brain can figure that out knowing all the facts. Still so fucking mad so let's kill Jon!".

adds perspective to how they really feel about the wildlings. you can't be surprised people would tunnel vision. people tunnel vision in real life for much less shit than the murders of a person's entire family. how much more so in this case?

Jon never seemed to understand the potential of his enemies, even those supposedly called "brothers". He needed a better, more experienced counselor by his side. Politics were not his calling.

I am 95% sure Jon will get revived.

If he does stay dead I assume that means the White Walkers will obliterate the North, given that Jon is the best chance at uniting the north to fight back against the Walkers. Killing him erases that chance and seals fate of everyone in the North. I don't really see any other purpose storywise in leaving him dead, and even that is a bit of a stretch since I can't see Mel and Davos' character playing any kind of role with Jon dead.

I thought her interest for Jon was for his king's blood/sacrifice. I don't think resurrection is out of the question but she looks pretty shaken and heading to the wall seemed more of a desperate move for survival than something more calculated.

What if the White Walkers revive Jon? I don't think anyone in the North can unite/mount a defense against the impending horde anyhow. Maybe Daenerys, maybe.

This episode really took the wind right out of me.

Such an epic finale! I didn't see Stannis' crushing defeat like that. You could tell he truly regretted what he has done and didn't want to carry on. I believed the visions.

Sansa and theon escaping! You missed the candle Brienne!

I didn't see arya coming out at that moment, in what may be the most brutal death scene I've ever witnessed.

Arya going blind?!

I didn't see myrcella dying just seconds after Jamie realised how it felt to be a father. Epic dorne!

The Cersei walk of shame! That scene was so well done. Impossible not to feel bad for her.

I didn't see the dothraki showing up again!

And of course, I didn't see Jon dying. I'm upset at that. I really liked his character.

Not feeling this finale at all. Everything was rushed and felt anti-climatic.

I'm so pissed how they handled the battle of Winterfell. All season long they've been hyping it up and we literally got to see nothing of it. The battle of Winterfell was the one thing I was looking forward to all season and we got a crappy speedrun of it, and if Stannis really went out like that, I'll be pissed so underwhelming.

Jon's death doesn't come as a surprise in a series that kills actual good characters left and right, but I'm still kind of upset about it. I hope he does get resurrected and goes to confront his murderers and stabs them while saying "for castle black". I really don't see that kind of thing happening in this series though.

I almost feel like I want the Night's Watch to lose now since the killed the only person willing enough to handle it and do what needs to be done.

So when Jon inevitably gets revived and moves on with his wildling army, I hope the Night's Watch gets crushed solely for their stupidity and stubbornness. Then Bran wargs a dragon and burns the place down right after it's overrun.

The whole damn continent is determined to get themselves killed while fighting with each other instead of preparing for the real fight so it's hard to feel sorry for the Night's Watch. I have faith the others will take care of it before they kill too many people in the North.

Winterfell will be ruled by the Starks once more.

Edit: Are we sure Arya's blindness isn't some sort of temporary punishment or test? Seems like a bad thing to have if you're going to be a faceless assassin.

Remember most of the night's watchmen are rapists, murders, and other kinds of criminals. These guys aren't really in it to save the world, just look after themselves.

Last few weeks have been full of mindless fanboy nitpicking, but this episode... yeah.

1) WHY did Allister let Jon through the gates if he was going to kill him anyway? Now the wildlings will go batshit crazy and kill them in their sleep. Illogical.

2) Brien telleporting through battles, skill learnt from Catelyn in S2. Don't kill him or Davos will go full emo.

3) GJ Oberyns' crazywhore, now your prince is goner and your daughters are sure as hell goners. Who could possibly blame you after that super subtle kiss, amirite.

4) THAT'S what reboots you, Reek? Really?! Servant escorting Sansa to her room?

5) Tyrells? Nah, let's chat with Gray Worm about allegiances.

I didn't mind CGI Cercei or Khaleesi revival, But these really bothered me. On the other hand, Arya was AWESOME (losing the face permanently fits the situation well) and Varys being back is AWESOME, but that's about it.

I'm sure showrunners will learn from missteps they've taken, it was their first "blind" season. Overall it's been pretty good and better than some others (don't shadowbaby me Nameless].

Did anyone not see Jon as being a critical part of the end game?

Not really. As much as I've wanted Jon dead, I didn't think they'd actually kill him off especially after the events of this season.

She'll be the Daredevil of Westeros.

Ha! She and Tyrion are my tipping points. If they kill either of those two off, I'll swear the show off and then continue watching the next week!

To me. That's what made the battle of winterfell so incredible. You were really unprepared for Stannis to get crushed in such fashion.

You just saw his week go from bad to worse after he killed Shireen. False hope of the ice melting to his men deserting and taking the horses, to his wife killing herself to seeing his doom right at his feet before he could even have a say.

It showed you that his God truely turned on him and you could see it in his eyes with each step.

I think we as viewers thought:

"Okay this is getting bad but will see how it goes."

To

" okay this is getting worse now but we have to trust in these visions seeing as we know the blood magic works"

To

" well the show is just incredibly blunt and will spare no one, making them seem like they were nothing."
