Fark, fark, faaaaaaaarrrrrrrrkkkkk!!!

This fucking show. I was ready to give up three episodes back, now they have me locked in for another season.

Jon is obviously going to be resurrected by mel. But still, what a way to go!

were the horsemen with Danny the same tribe which she was with in the first season?

Arya was an idiot and I like that she has to pay for keeping her identity.

Also, the darth mountain is going to be cool, hopefully he wrecks some shit!

Literally no chance Sansa and Theon are dead.

That would be way too dumb.

Pretty insane episode. Fuck Melisandre and Ollie. Hope they die.

RIP Jon. He was great.

It has to be a foreshadowing with how many times jon and sam told ollie that the fucking white walkers are coming and we need more help to fight them. In the end they didnt believe jon. even if he did tell them , they still wouldnt believe. They were so butt hurt about the wildlings they dont feel the threat of the white walkers....because they habent seen them first hand

"I dont read the books but my brother does and told me something that isnt in the books and it was hinted heavily this season. For caution im blocking out what I say just incase it comes true"

If you don't read the books but your brother does, then why the fuck would you tell us stuff your brother says? Just fucking take it to the other thread.

ollie is such a piece of shit

the nights watch are pieces of shit

can't wait for the white walkers to murder their asses.. they talk about not being able to climb the wall, can't the white walker ppl just create snow? so they make a hill to the top of the wall it's not rocket science bruh these nights of the watch are just stupid.. completely dumb.

regardless they are going to get straight up rekt by the white walkers

where were jon's friends? that one dude who is always chillin' with him and went to wildlings camp? where was ser davos?

let them all freeze 2 death and you team stannis/team lord of light (obviously an allusion to lucifer, the light bringer) dude is obviously an evil fucker... y'all need to recognize

tyrion is the only character who gets it, westeros is fucked, why bother with it lol

Seriously. Brienne fuck off.

Why didn't they show stannis dying? I guess he's not dead yet.
I think it's really sloppy to do that. Same with the Hound, except this is even more cliffhangery. Just show a bit of cleaving, make it obvious, please. I don't really see a future for Stannis if he's not dead. As someone mentioned, he was broken apart piece by piece. Rode it all the way to the end. Truly tragic. #teamstannis

this show making me feel monstrously bad for CERSEI of all people. God. What a fantastic character though.
I thought that whole scene (from confession, to hair cutting, to slut shame walking). I actually thought it drew an interesting parallel with modern slut shaming which I abhor. Now she's got Zombie Mountain. I still think her coldness is going to separate her from Jaime, who loves her dearly.

Honestly, no one is safe at this point.

I don't think she was misleading Stannis, by the look on her face when the bad news started pouring down for Stannis - she knew right then and there that she misinterpreted her visions.
Yeah, she has visions, interprets them, but she knew in that moment that shit was going bad and booked it.

The reason mel left stannis is that she realized he wasn't the important man she thought he was. She realized she had picked the wrong man from her visions. She went to castle black because Jon is the right man.

Jon will be back at some point next season after she learns how to resurrect him.

She won't resurrect stannis because he is not "The One". Also because Stannis isn't dead. ..
The timing of all that does seem suspect for a resurrection. We'll see what the Lord of Light has in store.

What a wet fart of a finale

Also theon and sansa dying from that jump is probably the dumbest outcome possible, c'mon now they obviously survived
I thought it was great. And clearly they wouldn't just jump to suicide and the their story ends.

Also LOL at them making Myrcella all sweet. Jaime finally gets to realize his moment as a dad and does not need to hide behind false pretenses and BAM, she's dead. I called it though as soon as that sand bitch kissed her. No way would she listen to wheelchair man and make peace.
This was terrible. I felt terrible for Jamie, just happy he was able to have an honest moment with his daughter. I really don't know what the fallout is going to be. Loses his hand, relegating him to "I can barely defend myself" guy. Loses a son, his daughter with whom he could finally be open with, and the love of his life pushing him away.

This was a good episode (if a bit rushed), but man was it very depressing. The downfall of Stannis was a bit rushed, I agree that it could have played out over quite a bit more time instead of like, basically an episode. But people paying attention could see it in his actions, his face. Very well done by the actor. And Jamie losing his daughter, an innocent girl over some revenge shit that isn't even legitimate. Pisses me off. Jon Snow, betrayed. It came across as obvious, but then thinking "this must be misdirection with Olly". Nope, just went through with it. I don't know what Meli/Davos is going to look like. Dany should be interesting, really don't know where they are going to go with that Dothroki bit. Chick keeps gettin' lost.

Sigh, another 10 months to go.

Oh and fuck Brienne. Renly was shit. Don't come around strutting like you're top shit, sentencing someone to death while they are laid up against a tree wounded.

How about you just don't post obvious book spoilers under the guise that your brother promised they weren't spoilers in the non-spoiler thread? Your brother has insider info having actually read the book. We don't need to hear anything that he says.

I offer a moment of silence for our brother jon snow.

And now his watch has ended.

Man. That cut deep, but there was a fair amount of foreshadowing throughout the season that I kind of expected this.

Still hurts though.

What if Jon doesn't even need to be resurrected? They only really showed him slowly bleeding out but maybe Davos or Melisandre manage to save him before he bleeds out.

It's possible. *sobs into a pillow*

I honestly didn't think I would care this much about Lord Snow. Just when you start liking someone they get snatched away or do something horrible.

Currently polling second in Australia's federal election (first in the Gold Coast), this feral may one day be your Bogan King.
So as a whole even though I still really love this show, and this season's highs were indeed wonderful highs, I definitely feel it was by far the least engaging and developed season of the lot. Through fairly mundane pacing and the heavily fragmented narrative the show as a whole lost a lot of traction. John's arc was by far the strongest, but in others remnants from last season lingered like bad smells.

As a whole I still enjoyed it, but yeah. Probably the most consistently disinterested I've been per episode compared to prior seasons. Hopefully next season sees more sweeping developments and interesting politics.

EDIT: Kit says he's not coming back, but this show (especially this season) is about as subtle with foreshadowing as a punch to Oberyn's face. Lord of Light has been associated directly with death and rebirth. Melisandre is now at Castle Black after losing faith in Stannis. Snow's significance as a character has been emphasised thoroughly this season. Nobody has plot armour sure, but come on.

Every time a Stark has gotten an important job, they end up dead.

If that's a cliffhanger, this is going to be an even longer wait till season 5.

I don't know, I really liked Jon Snow, but his death didn't affect me, like at all. Maybe I'm getting bored of the "kill people that you like"-trope, like it's getting too predictable now, or maybe it's because it feels obvious that he will be resurrected. It might not happen, but that last shot of his dead body just seemed like a foreshadowing or something (+ that red bitch is there).

So what's the current status between Dragon mom and Horse riding people? Do they still love her?

Drogo khalasar was only one of many. Back in season two, two of the khalasars that form after Drogo's death make it known that they don't approve of a Dany (specifically that she is a woman) leading a khalasar.

The Dothraki who joined Dany following Drogo's death presumably still love her, but that's where any love for her ends.

Jorah warns Dany when they are wandering the Red Waste in season two that if they come across another khalasar they will likely try and a kill her and her people.

God fucking dammit. Jons family lineage is too important for him to just die like this.... but then again this is GoT.

Im expecting lord of light revival via red woman. Or possible warging.
But i have no idea really.... I feel so sad :( both for jon's "death" and for the fact i'm gonna have to wait another year!

Her khalasar is all dead I thought. These guys don't know her so it can go either way.

Thank you guys.
I hope dragon boy just kills them all then.

Last few weeks have been full of mindless fanboy nitpicking, but this episode... yeah.

1) WHY did Allister let Jon through the gates if he was going to kill him anyway? Now the wildlings will go batshit crazy and kill them in their sleep. Illogical.

2) Brien telleporting through battles, skill learnt from Catelyn in S2. Don't kill him or Davos will go full emo.

3) GJ Oberyns' crazywhore, now your prince is goner and your daughters are sure as hell goners. Who could possibly blame you after that super subtle kiss, amirite.

4) THAT'S what reboots you, Reek? Really?! Servant escorting Sansa to her room?

5) Tyrells? Nah, let's chat with Gray Worm about allegiances.

1) They killed Jon because Stannis lost. That pushed them over the edge because Stannis promised to comeback after he took Winterfell and they put up with Jon because Stannis trusted him and Stannis had an army worth waiting for, wildlings not so much.

3) Pretty much but the natural reaction is to turn around and chop off her head. We'll have to see next season if she really died or the king expected this treachery and gave his son the tools to be prepared.

4) It wasn't her trying to escort Sansa that motivated him. It was her intention to take apart Sansa piece by piece. Theon was afraid of Ramsey but he wasn't afraid of her. It's her fault she didn't give Reek a trigger warning.

5) What exactly are you referring to here?

Nein.
Daenerys and Jon gonna marry and rule the seven kingdoms in peace and harmony.

...

Then the Fire Nation attacked

It's actually the air nomad's turn to attack. :|

What's this shit about Cercei's body being CGI...?

It was a face replacement. You film your body double and setup the main actress in similar poses/movements, (hopefully at the correct angles) use tracking software to plot out the doubles movement and apply the main's face to them. It rarely looks good and doesn't here.

Great finale. Still loved the season despite the pacing complaints. Most finale episodes of GoT have been big setups for the next season and this opens up a bunch of new plot lines:

- Tyrion/Grey Worm/Missandei in Mereen
- Jorah and Daario's road trip to find Danaerys
- Danaerys finds herself back with Dothraki
- Arya becoming Daredevil
- Zombie Mountain is back
- Cersei's revenge?
- Myrcella's death and how it will change the relationship between King's Landing/Lannister and Dorne/Martell
- WTF is the Night's Watch going to do

I can't see how anyone is surprised the Night's Watch turned on Jon. They always were a bunch of thugs, murderers and rapists, under the public image of a noble organisation (what they used to be), and only a handful of them cared about happened past the wall anyway. As soon as they think the leader's an ass who will get them killed, it's only a matter of time before they overthrow him.

Calling it now I don't think Jon actually dies, maybe Melisandre revives him like the other red priest who revived that guy who fought the Hound.

I feel like this season has been a bit of a waste they opened so many story threads and failed really to wrap up any of them. I mean sure shows need a cliffhanger at the end of the season to get people to come back but the whole season felt like build up for the next.

I don't believe for a moment that Jon snow is dead. Other than that, things seem to be going full circle. Next season should be interesting.

Did Sam know? He got out of town just in time.

Sam's a book reader, confirmed. So that's what he's been reading in that library!

I think they committed suicide. At that height, even landing in a pool of water can be dangerous depending on how shallow it is. Falling on snow and ice will definitely kill them.

It'd be very disappointing if they cleared that height unscathed.

"Hey, we just saw Miranda fall to her death. Let's try and replicate that." Doesn't make sense. They have to be alive. Having it be that high up is a directorial screwup I think. There's no way they just simultaneously committed suicide out of nowhere.

Stannis sacrificed his daughter so.. what did he get in return?

There needs to be a shirt that says "I sacrificed my daughter and all I got was this T-shirt."

holy hell spoiler culture is ridiculous

How about respecting other people? We simply don't want any information from book readers. That's not some crazy unreasonable request. What's unreasonable is book readers' sense of entitlement to vicariously enjoying the content via show watchers' reactions. It's almost parasitic.

People said they'd quit the show after Ned.

People said they'd quit the show after the Red Wedding.

People said they'd quit the show after Oberyn.

People say they'll quit the show after Jon.

See you all again next season!

content wise yeah sure this show is brutal but i'm seriously questioning what i get out of game of thrones

I somewhat agree. The show used to have nuance, ups and downs. Right now it's all rather one-dimensional. Interesting things aren't really happening anymore.

I'll still watch the next season, but I won't say I'm not disappointed that this season was 70% filler and didn't even wrap up any of the arcs.

Why would they do that...? Why not just let he walk naked on screen? We've seen her topless before in 300.
