in no world was renly rightful king
Seriously. Brienne fuck off.
Why didn't they show stannis dying? I guess he's not dead yet.
I think it's really sloppy to do that. Same with the Hound, except this is even more cliffhangery. Just show a bit of cleaving, make it obvious, please. I don't really see a future for Stannis if he's not dead. As someone mentioned, he was broken apart piece by piece. Rode it all the way to the end. Truly tragic. #teamstannis
this show making me feel monstrously bad for CERSEI of all people. God. What a fantastic character though.
I thought that whole scene (from confession, to hair cutting, to slut shame walking). I actually thought it drew an interesting parallel with modern slut shaming which I abhor. Now she's got Zombie Mountain. I still think her coldness is going to separate her from Jaime, who loves her dearly.
Honestly, no one is safe at this point.
I don't think she was misleading Stannis, by the look on her face when the bad news started pouring down for Stannis - she knew right then and there that she misinterpreted her visions.
Yeah, she has visions, interprets them, but she knew in that moment that shit was going bad and booked it.
The reason mel left stannis is that she realized he wasn't the important man she thought he was. She realized she had picked the wrong man from her visions. She went to castle black because Jon is the right man.
Jon will be back at some point next season after she learns how to resurrect him.
She won't resurrect stannis because he is not "The One". Also because Stannis isn't dead. ..
The timing of all that does seem suspect for a resurrection. We'll see what the Lord of Light has in store.
What a wet fart of a finale
Also theon and sansa dying from that jump is probably the dumbest outcome possible, c'mon now they obviously survived
I thought it was great. And clearly they wouldn't just jump to suicide and the their story ends.
Also LOL at them making Myrcella all sweet. Jaime finally gets to realize his moment as a dad and does not need to hide behind false pretenses and BAM, she's dead. I called it though as soon as that sand bitch kissed her. No way would she listen to wheelchair man and make peace.
This was terrible. I felt terrible for Jamie, just happy he was able to have an honest moment with his daughter. I really don't know what the fallout is going to be. Loses his hand, relegating him to "I can barely defend myself" guy. Loses a son, his daughter with whom he could finally be open with, and the love of his life pushing him away.
This was a good episode (if a bit rushed), but man was it very depressing. The downfall of Stannis was a bit rushed, I agree that it could have played out over quite a bit more time instead of like, basically an episode. But people paying attention could see it in his actions, his face. Very well done by the actor. And Jamie losing his daughter, an innocent girl over some revenge shit that isn't even legitimate. Pisses me off. Jon Snow, betrayed. It came across as obvious, but then thinking "this must be misdirection with Olly". Nope, just went through with it. I don't know what Meli/Davos is going to look like. Dany should be interesting, really don't know where they are going to go with that Dothroki bit. Chick keeps gettin' lost.
Sigh, another 10 months to go.
Oh and fuck Brienne. Renly was shit. Don't come around strutting like you're top shit, sentencing someone to death while they are laid up against a tree wounded.
