It's certainly strange for this language to appear in a patent, and it gets stranger when the description of the patent includes "text based on automatic Optical Character Recognition processes. Please use the PDF version for legal matters." It should be noted that the PDF version of this patent does not seem to include the "inferior" language.

In all fairness none of the big boys have made a decent controller this gen, the PS5 pad dies fast and has that horrible haptics that add zero value to any game, Nintendo have just been rumbled in a big way in the EU for the shambolic Joycon drift situation and Microsoft seriously nobody wants to use batteries anymore!
