Yeah! I'm playing it right now, and having an extremely hard time understanding it's mixed reception; it's fantastic.
Amen.

Wow. Kyle Bosman's arguments against these games sound like he's been told to disagree with the stupidest fucking arguments. Seriously, is this a comedy sketch?

Definitely. Don't get me wrong, I think these guys are great, but c'mon. I don't dismiss someone's opinion who's different than mine, but it's really hard not to with stuff that silly sounding "All these freaks in masks! Woooo! I'm supposed to fight them for 8 hours?" Uhhh.Yeah his sincereness is slightly questionable.
The GT crew just blows my mind in terms of personalities. Can't believe hoe much i like these guys. Love em!

Because it was a horrible argument and this will now make me not even care about his other opinions because that segment will be in the back of my mind whenever he speaks... for like a week...
They're the best gaming website out there, in my opinion. They blow Kotaku, Polygon, etc. out of the water. Great personalities and super fair opinions (Halo: MCC review aside). The GT crew just blows my mind in terms of personalities. Can't believe hoe much i like these guys. Love em!
Kyle has a lot of neuroses but you can tell when he's being serious about something, and I think he's serious here.Wow. Kyle Bosman's arguments against these games sound like he's been told to disagree with the stupidest fucking arguments. Seriously, is this a comedy sketch?

Evil Within must not be on there because everyone loves it as they rightfully should
Can't see someone taking the neg on A Link to the Past.
Of course it had to be Bosman. Though from the comments here, it seems that he was trolling (I won't watch the video so I can't know what he said).
He wasn't trolling he just values context above all else. His main complaint is lack of cohesion which is legitimate.
That's what happened to me, and I'm not the biggest fan of LTTP either, or most of the 2D Zelda games I've played. I played LTTP for the first time on the GBA and enjoyed it, but I used a guide a lot of the time.I feel like Bosman played ALTTP for the first time AFTER playing others like OoT and TP for him to say the things he said.

Gawd the best description ever.Kyle Bosman is like a grown up child star trying to shake off his wholesome image by doing terrible things.
I ain't mad, though.
Okay, I have to skip to the Link to the Past section.
Especially since it's my favorite Zelda game (or at least tied with Link's Awakening)... what have you done, Bosman?
Ian is so edgy.
The arguement against the Last of Us was poor at best. He said "Why is that a game? It offers no choice." Since when does a game need to offer a choice in the story in order to be considered a game? So Zelda, Mario, Final Fantasy and many many other games aren't games because they offer no choice in their story? He says he doesn't care for the story of that "grizzled asshole" ??? What??? Is he even trying here?
The only thing I can accept is how the A.I. behaves and even that isn't clear. Naughty Dog had 2 choices either make the A.I. as it is now or make all enemies react to the A.I. which would make them 100 more annoying but it would be realistic I guess. He also says escort quests always suck even though Ellie needs 0 babysitting and she is probably the most usefull companion you will find in gaming. Also if escort quests suck so does Resident evil 4 right? Nope he is just wrong again. My god what a piss poor arguement.
edit: He says Resident Evil 4 is good later on which was also an escort game. This guy makes no sense.
I like it. Argue that a game is super immersive and intense, then deem "irrelevant" any issues that directly break immersion and tension.
Human beings do irrational things sort of the whole point of tlou's ending. No shit it's dumb for Joel to do that but it isn't out of character and fits the themes that the game is going for.His argument on how The Last of Us being a game that should have offered choice yet didn't I can kind of get.
So many things Joel did just had me going like, "wut."
The ending, so fucking bad. One girl, to save humanity? Nope, let's execute the best researchers/doctors left in the country and kill the leader of the fireflies. Cus like, father and daughter relationship amirite?
So dumb. I liked the game because of it's technical accomplishments and it's gameplay. If there was ever a game that could have benefited from a choice system it would have been TLoU.

I respect anyone who'll defend Shadows of the Damned.
He's mentioned before that he's not a fan of a link to the past and he bashed bioshock in the past for the same reasons mentioned in the video.

"Let's throw away the past ten hours of character development to give the player a choice that would be completely narratively inconsistent with the rest of the game" I can understand certain criticisms of The Last of Us, but not this one
Hmm that argument against link to the past actually made sense and turned my opinion around on that game. Kyle was right. Huh
