Let's walk back the other recent thread about gaming being the least attractive hobby for men. Here's some data.
Only 61.8% of women polled in the study viewed gaming as unattractive, better than every other vice.
And considering virtually all men drink, watch TV, smoke, watch porn, gamble, argue online, and think women are irrational, gaming being in the mix doesn't seem like too much of a problem!
Now, looking at the flip side of the positive attractiveness responses:
Video games are rated more attractive than watching TV.
Note: the polling was not a random population sample, and skewed toward highly educated, high status white women.
"Our sample was a convenience sample of 814 participants (48% female). Consistently in the samples that we run we see a pretty even split for politics and feminist ideology, so we don’t expect much political ideological bias. However, our samples skew disproportionately toward women of high social status, high level of education (45% had a Master’s degree in the previous survey), and who are predominately White (> 90% in the last survey). Popular hobbies like “clubbing,” which was rated low in our sample, may be perceived as more attractive in other populations."
