How embarrassing. Had trouble beating 13-15 year boys at half the events. And the ones they won they barely squeaked by. At least the WNBA players can claim they can beat grade 8 kids half the time.
And unlike any mens vs womens comparisons where the pro guys are way bigger and faster, the women had the height and bulkiness advantage. Some of the boys were short and skinny. And they still competed against WNBA players evenly.
It's actually similar to hockey and soccer. At this age, 13-15 boys put up a good fight against pro women and can beat them. There was some kind of teenage boys western hockey league the women's national team played in to keep active. I never bookmarked the link but an old standings page had the women's team I think third worst in the league going something like 8-22. And that's supposed to be olympic gold level women players.
