Even if they had a "co-ed mode" where every team in some special mode had to have 3 guys and 2 ladies......I'd be okay with this. I'd think that mode would be INCREDIBLE to be honest. But none of the ladies are stopping Shaq or Steph Curry :messenger_tears_of_joy:

I used to play co-ed softball for several years and my wife and I had a blast

NBA 2K26 included the WNBA which in all honesty that part I am a fan of if young girls aspire to play in the league as they can now actually play as some of their favorite players

Not a fan of the mixing and matching players on like a professional level though

Reminds me of this when Britney Griner said she could beat Boogie Cousins playing one on one

I find comments like these entirely pointless. Your point is missed because the game doesn't try to have cyborg ninjas or lizard wizards. By all means if the ball game has fantasy and scifi elements then gender doesn't matter much. But if you are going to have people with real stats based on their real performance then adding the female players are basically trying to lose the game.

You realize this supports my point. [unless you have a statement where 2K says it's a special MyTeam mode and there's another one without wnba players]

You will have clowns having women on their teams and other player will be forced to play against them and obv those wnba players will be extraordinary overrated in comparision to their real world abilities. Essentially mode became dead and a complete and utter clown show with a single decision.

Those wnba players will be grossly overrated and won't resemble anything remotely close to their real abilities on the court. I don't care for wnba if theres seperate mode for mixed team I'm totally fine by it, but if there isn't then they just killed a very important mode of their game.

The entire point of games using real players is to build your team using as close to real statistics as possible.

As others pointed out, DEI decisions tend to make women powerful to feed the ego of those who made the decision to include women. This means if and when women are included, they are going to fake the stats to make them ever so superior to men like every other DEI decision. This kills the entire point of building teams in the game. It is a simulator, perhaps you have heard of it?
 
I mean if it was realistic, the women wouldn't be able to do anything playing against the men so let's see how this goes

They try to pretend games like Madden NFL and NBA 2K are realistic simulations after all

If the Indiana Fever tried to play against the Pacers IRL, the Pacers would beat them 200 to 0

Ah yes, why fix any of the major issues that 2k has with its gameplay or broken modes that are there every year when we can create and fix a problem nobody asked about instead. Get ready for the 10th straight year with no noticeable changes but at least you can play as a non working female avatar against the robot moving male ones and they will all still have the giant invisible wall you can't dribble around because doing things that games did 15 years ago is too hard, look over there at the fancy "City" you can walk around in and try to be a rapper or maybe a barber instead of playing basketball.

you don't have to buy what you don't want. But pack luck is tough. And if it's held out as a feature challenges will probably require using to complete. And there will be opponents dominating nba players. Not end of world but still stupid imo.

There's no outrage because it's wrestling and it's fake. Chyna wrestled men in the late 90s. You don't see any women in the NBA, real competition.
 
I remember one of the recent FIFA games had Sam Kerr rated as good as I think Mbappe. It might not had been him, but anotheer superstar soccer player.

Both Kerr and and male player were both rated the same 92. lol

There were some people upset outside of this forum.

Sports games are simulators, but you're able to create fantasy teams and players.
 
The issue will be that they will have WNBA player ratings remain relative to other WNBA players, not NBA players, so 95 OVR rated WNBA player will be unstoppable compared to 80 OVR rated NBA players. It happened in FIFA/EA FC already and was stupid.

They do, but their point is to argue an agenda and it seems progressively more and more on trying to shame people that have a problem with it and playing cards like "just an option, if you have a problem with just an option it is you who is the problem". I am not sure they care at all about this game or FIFA/EA Football, but they care about the cause.
