I'm going to go out on a limb and predict that maybe less than 5% of people in this thread actually play 2k. This WNBA inclusion is near the bottom of the list in terms of complaints and is successfully steering the conversation away from the game's actual problems.
Everyone I know personally who plays this game constantly complains about it nonstop because either the balancing is broken, the stats are broken, the park is broken, or because the VC prices are too outrageous, yet they still play it.
I've seen this when I used to play MMOs and League of Legends. It's the equivalent of someone being addicted to a game yet telling others to stay the hell away from it (because it's too late for them already).
2k doesn't exclusively own the NBA license, but every other top tier developer and publisher just handed it to them on a silver platter to dominate, while the rest of us have to sit and wait years for either the next NBA Jam spiritual successor or the next NBA Street spiritual successor to have something that actually feels fun and rewarding to play.
