I see many people on X calling "the end of Xbox", I don't see the problem of them going multiplatform, their console is still worth it for different reasons, exclusives are not everything. For example:
- Better controller for those used to asymmetrical sticks
- Game Pass
- Backwards compatibility with 360
- Mouse + Keyboard support in many games natively
- Lower price (XSS)
- Better VRR
- Better MS support in your country (doesn't apply to US, in there everything works)
Remastering good games. While the other guy is remastering Days Gone. What is MS honestly doing at this point?
plus if You add Gamepass to the Series S is the Best deal for low income people. Altought I kwon low oncome people that also get they PS5 digital because they want to play Sony's exclusives.XSS 512 GB isn't tho, even $100 or $200 is a BIG difference depending on where you live, so there are reasons to get an Xbox for many people over PS5
It's over bro.MS will also likely drop the price again close to the GTA 6 launch. Some posters hate the reality that the Series S will be the most cost effective way to play it.
lol yea right
Xbox was probably selling 10-20% of PlayStation and has been since the PS5 was widely available.
What a convincing rebuttal. You don't know what cost effective means
You don't know what the prices will be in a year and you have zero insight into what price conscious consumers are likely to do.You really think people in a year from now are gonna rush out and buy a XXS to play GTA6 when the PS5 digital wont be much higher in price.![]()
As someone that pays for NeoGAF gold, you no doubt are very well placed to advise us on how the proletariat will choose which system they buy for GTA.Serious question, why are you doing this to yourself?

squeezing blood from an orange. What is MS honestly doing at this point?
They are xbox branded consoles.Interesting wording no?
Nahh there are still more Xbox consoles coming
Not sure why but its happening
I never miss!Swing and miss, it's not something I've paid for.
You're still free to answer the original question any time you like though.
That was a remake of a remasterThe Last of Us

Lol no.This is a year from now. MS will have an incentive to use GTA as a trojan horse to get people into their ecosystem.
Normally the 5 stages of grief go by faster than this, but we are seeing a worldwide clinical trial that proves copium is a hell of a drug.Serious question, why are you doing this to yourself?
Use this as a manta and reassure yourself with it for the next twelve months.Lol no.
No one ever raises prices just to drop them a year later rofl.
Are you sure you're not the one reassuring themselves here buddy?Use this as a manta and reassure yourself with it for the next twelve months.
I've been hearing that 50% number for 10 years now. It's totally fanciful at this point in light of their total business collapse and in Europpe when the numbers were coming out it was 10:1 or even 20:1.Imagine being wrong about something and being so confident about it.
If you count Activision then yes, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3+4 was at the Switch 2 reveal direct, and they have committed to putting Call of Duty on Switch 2 post acquisitionHave Microsoft announced anything for Switch 2 yet

Since we got new information for LTD sales data I decide to do so math and extract the recent sales ratio.
As of June 2024 the PS5 is at 61.3M consoles and Xbox is at 28.3M consoles.
Here is the thread with this info.

WSJ - PS5 shipped 61.7M and Xbox Series 28.3M WW, as of the end of june 2024, PC Sales Falling
Yep Exclusives matter. In fact nothing else matters. Just look at Nintendo they Even can deliver a most outdated hardware ans sell it like pancakes( at proffit) just because thier exclusives. So that makes the recent acquisitions even more puzzling. Wouldn’t you want to ensure those titles...www.neogaf.com

Who dislikes Horde mode?
Did the grubs touch you?

Not on Gears 1. Horde started with Gears 2 (the goat).Wait did Gears 1 even have horde mode? Seems like i remember playing it for the first time ever in Gears 2 at E3 one year...
And i LOVE horde mode
And I clearly stated that the Xbox sales were a fraction of that when the PS5 started becoming more widely available which was in mid-2023.First, I'm referring specifically to North America... and was clear about that in my commentary, so you bringing up Europe now doesn't make much sense.
If the PS5 has sold 75 million units and the XBS has sold anywhere between 25-35 million units and we take a look at Japan, we can subtract 7 million units from the PS5 and 700K from the XBS.
That brings us to 68 million and a minimum of 24.3 million.
If we assume that half of the remaining units of the PS5 were sold in the US and that's being aggressive that takes us to 34 million. And if half of the XBS were sold in the US (we know it's more than that) it would give us 12.15 million..
Even at the most aggressive, that would give Xbox at a minimum 26% market share against PlayStation.
And I clearly stated that the Xbox sales were a fraction of that when the PS5 started becoming more widely available which was in mid-2023.
As soon as people could buy a PS5 they basically forgot the Xbox existed.
Imagine giving the the strongest 3rd party publisher in the world the keys to go buy more publishers! This is the path we're on. No court can stop more purchases now! MS's plan along has been to make Sony (and others) dependent on Xbox games and they're on the path to doing just that! UBi or EA who's next to fall? Sony and Nintendo can't afford them! They certainly can't out bid Microsoft!Imagine being wrong about something and being so confident about it.

And I'm telling you that's just not true.
When PS5s were hard to get, PS5 and XBS were selling fairly similarly. After the PS5 was easier to get the ratio shifted closer to 2:1 in the US in average months with the ratio getting larger in certain months like when Spider-Man 2 released.
You can look at the historic estimates. You're off base.
I posted one of the historic estimates. There is no way Microsoft was selling half of what PS was, it would be a totally different situation for them if they were, because as has often been said, the PS5 is still selling really really well. You in that thread I posted and you quoted even said "it's AKSHULLY more like 3:1" lmao ok, it's actually probably more like 10:1 at this point.
This is a year from now. MS will have an incentive to use GTA as a trojan horse to get people into their ecosystem.
It's got a new hatHow's this different from the last remaster?
That's not the strategy though. These just worked out that way because they released before Microsoft went third-party. Things will be day one on everything going forward.tbh, releasing remastered older games on PS to milk them for what they're worth, then releasing newer games on GP / Xbox / PC first to make them as attractive as possible and then PS later gives them 2 releases ... decent strategy I reckon given PS have the overwhelming majority in market share on console hardware.
Well, that's what's happening right now, and so it seems to be their strategy. Where have you seen them say they will go day 1 on PS for first party moving forward? That's not the strategy though.
