Gears of War: Reloaded coming to Steam, Xbox and PS5

MS will milk these release for all they're worth.

They'll probably release Halo Master Chief remastered in single games too instead of the full collection at once.

Halo is now inevitable, there's a no red lines, Gears confirms this.

They'll announce as soon as the port is done.
I doubt MCC is going to get a port. They've been trying to put MCC behind them for years and as someone else mentioned it's a huge mess.

Maybe Shitfinite.

It's on Gamepass so no, they aren't making money off that. But dumb Playstation owners will buy this trash so they might make something from them.

Gears was the only reason I purchased an Xbox every generation hopefully it's at least using UE4 the screenshots look great UE5 would be a welcome surprise

tbh, releasing remastered older games on PS to milk them for what they're worth, then releasing newer games on GP / Xbox / PC first to make them as attractive as possible and then PS later gives them 2 releases ... decent strategy I reckon given PS have the overwhelming majority in market share on console hardware.

is there any meltdowns? at this points this is not shocking, right?

our boy Phil (the true gamer) is just looking for growth and a way to save the industry.

Third edition of first GoW on PC while the two sequels still nowhere to be seen

This better be just first of three.

Yea hopefully they still come, the original is great but It felt like it got slightly better each time with 2 and 3, I have been wanting to reply them a while but was holding out for the trilogy, not sure what todo now, do I replay thw originals on Series X (which are still great with the 60fps and higher res) or do I hold out. Realy want them on PC aswell. Im wondering if it was a collection bu there splitting them and maybe release them leading upto Gears E-Day, thinking Gears August, 2 around March 2026, 3 July/Aug with E-Day Nov/Dec, only problem I see is the risk of burnout.

I see many people on X calling "the end of Xbox", I don't see the problem of them going multiplatform, their console is still worth it for different reasons, exclusives are not everything. For example:
- Better controller for those used to asymmetrical sticks
- Game Pass
- Backwards compatibility with 360
- Mouse + Keyboard support in many games natively
- Lower price (XSS)
- Better VRR
- Better MS support in your country (doesn't apply to US, in there everything works)

That Halo announcement is going to legit be a sad day (I say this as a PS5 Pro owner). Sad state of affairs for the Xbox.

I understand. I am a PS5 owner (with an XSS though). But I've been a PS gamer for the better part of 3 decades. I remember 360 really putting a dent into SCE, and then Gears was launched with much fanfare, like directly competing with the PS3 which had nothing like it to show. Xbox was in a very good position and forced Sony to reinvent itself. This game, a posterboy of that console war (and made Cliff a popstar lol), is now casually going to appear on PS5.

What is MS honestly doing at this point?
Playing 4D chess and they're 40 moves ahead.

Making Xbox and GP available on a variety of devices while consoles just raise prices even after fucking 5 years will pay off in the mid term for the casual audience.

I'm building a PC later this year, I'm sick of Sony and MS antics.

I guess since I played these game(s) on release back on Xbox, that a PS launch isn't some earth shattering news. Cool to see it playable, but Gears 1 again? That was like the whole point of the XBO was Gears remastered. Hopefully 2 and 3 can make their way onto PS.

If you haven't played OG GoW by now, you must have some real Xbox hate lol or you're very young.

MS will also likely drop the price again close to the GTA 6 launch. Some posters hate the reality that the Series S will be the most cost effective way to play it.
Here in latinamerica I've seen many people wanting/getting it before anything else, the price difference is just too big here, just consider that to buy a XSS they have to save money form months

You really think people in a year from now are gonna rush out and buy a XXS to play GTA6 when the PS5 digital wont be much higher in price. :messenger_grinning_sweat:
