Gears of War: Reloaded will have no physical version for Xbox Series (but will for PS5), claims spanish website

Why waste a physical copy to a public that don't buy games, must be awful for the people who bought the Series X and/or collect games.

They've been steered in that direction though.

Microsoft are dismantling all logistics relating to physical media in their transition to PC and as someone who had a huge 360 physical collection it's quite sad to see.

It is a shame MS are pulling the plug without putting up a fight.

Marketing in the UK has been none existent for years now.

Meanwhile Playstation advertising is everywhere. TV, socials, Champions League even ...

Phil was wrong when he said Xbox can't compete, they just didn't even try

Forum is already much better. The worst scum is gone. Maybe just one or two more to go and 2 people everybody knows should get their emote button removed.
Anybody who complains about emotes is just declaring their weakness imo.

Just lose the emote notification and you'll see a complete improvement in your posting life on any forum.

Complaining doesn't mean weakness, it means standards.

These assclowns are on ignore so i don't get any notifications. Doesn't change the fact that they are console warriors and i still see them emote spamming other people's posts.

Idk man you're the one who actually called for ppl you ignored to be banned. Can only mean that you are actually unhiding their posts to see them.
We are talking about emotes, not posts. Do these 2 clowns even post? Imo People with toxic behavior deserve to be banned and emote spamming in one direction is toxic behaviour. I'd rather ask myself why it bothers me so much that some people would like to have a console warrior free forum. Those 2 are well known and i have seen several complaints. But i guess those are also just oversensitive weaklings. That's my final answer, not wasting my sunday on bs like that. So i leave you thinking and saying whatever makes you happy.

It really is toxic behaviour and just plain unhinged. Just as bad as any other kind of warring/trolling/shilling if not worse as they don't even come at you with an argument of words, and when people's warring posts get likes it gives them a confirmation bias that what they post is right, even if it's nutters spamming emotes

Fully aware, I'm from UK so seen it all unfold since around 1990 gaming wise.

It was quite a step up in terms of TV marketing, PlayStation was everywhere.

I remember the "cyber razer cut" MegaDrive ads and Rick Mayal's SNES adverts, but the amount and frequency of PlayStation adverts in the late 90s was something else.

They really pushed gaming to the forefront as a whole.

I disagree about pushing gaming to the forefront. Gaming was growing at an exponential rate anyway, it was the new technology and "fun" that was the biggest driver in growth. Sony just rode the wave well (or better than others)

Maybe I don't give them enough credit who knows

Yes you'd think series x disk drive model owners would be safe for a glorious physical media future...just never pictured them starting to dump disks altogether when they released the digital only series x. Well I guess they still have their "legacy" disks and backwards compatibility.

If you are getting upset about emoticon responses you've already lost.

I'm too old and thick skinned to be upset in real life let alone a forum.

But I'm quite happy to call out the bullshit around here too if it makes it an easier place to read what left in gaming interests me (which at the minute happens to be Xbox's next move)

Emotes are like physical punches in some alternate reality. They must be tracked and when one of your "bros" gets an unwanted one we must rush to ban them?
Fucking insane tbh. They're literally little names on the corner, and if more than 5-6 emotes are placed then you don't even see them unless you click them.

It's a weird roundabout attempt to get specific people banned for.. reasons.

Legitimately not saying this to ridicule, but go to your notification settings and turn off the emote notification. This way the forum software won't be poking you every time someone reacts to your posts (good/bad) and your forum experience will vastly improve.

Really cuts down on the notification clutter too.

It's a bit weird to not produce a disc for one if you are producing discs for another, but what really annoys me is digital was sold as being cheaper "No need for manuals, boxes, storage or transportation" yet that seems to be ignored with prices rising anyway.

P.S I hope SweetTooth gets the help he needs. Role playing as a fat man in a candy van always screamed "repressed sexual trauma" to me.

Trying to make neogaf an Xbox safe space...

Feel free to quote me directly – no need to talk behind my back. I don't bite. Criticizing the behavior of people you apparently associate with a certain camp doesn't automatically mean blind loyalty to the other – it's called objectivity. If someone behaves in a toxic way, I'll call it out regardless of the platform. So please don't try to drag me into this console war nonsense.

Have any of their physical games been complete on disc so far for ps5? I think the answer is no, so it doesn't matter anyways.
