Did I say the beta has to come day one ?No.
If you pre order the game you get a code for Gears 4 Beta which will probably be in Spring or Summer 2016 that seems more likely than getting a beta for a remastered game.
Well, I was referring to that Xbox Live Gold members are going to get something during E3. Hopefully that will be a beta of Gears 1.
Also, after the MCC fiasco it wouldn't be far fetched to think that MS want to do a beta before the game is out.

irrationally? haha i hate it because it isnt gears. if u want verticality go and play uncharted, gears bread and butter is symmetrical horizontal maps. verticality is horrible and clunky when combined with gears movement and the maps were utter horse shit.Of course I'm trolling. I must be for not irrationally hating a game like some folk.
also no dbno, 8 maps, no pistol, every campaign level being essentially horde mode. yeh 'irrationally' haha
i dont even complain much about the game because its a spin off so they have the license to do whatever the hell they want but they better not bring any of that fuckery in the main series

Gears 2 had the best Horde mode, that was some survival shit. Gears 3 horde kinda took it too far and added way too much into it. Gears 2 you had to rely on doing stuff on the fly like taking those shields and creating a wall. Then go absolutely nuts when the locust knocked them down lol.

Dedicated servers will be great, but will the netcode be changed from host-side hit detection to client-side? Playing off-host in Gears 1 is God awful due to the bullet lag.
Seeing people say Gears 2 is the best makes me want to throw up my insides. Like it almost gives me physical pains reading that. That game was still barely playable, even after TU6. At best, at that point, the game was where it should have been when it launched. It was truly awful. Smoke ragdolling, nade planting, stopping power, movement that was 15% slower, mortars, map hazards, game play and map design that encouraged long distance combat and camping, shooting your Gnasher from the hip resulted in shots going STRAIGHT DOWN towards your goddamn ankles, god awful net code, unbalanced matchmaking and the death of Player Match.
Fuck Gears 2 until the heat death of the universe and the end of time itself. Ugh. Gears 3 is half way decent compromise between the community and Epic. It has some shining moments and great ideas, but too much bullshit, poor balancing and features that make it something it isn't, that prevents a lot of people from loving it instead of just tolerating it's existence.
Gears 1 is the golden standard. August needs to get here PRONTO
