Gematsu reports that there is a document with several announced and unannounced SIE titles [Document has leaked]

They have 25 games in development at minimum. You're telling me not a single one is ready to be announced? Really? Not one.

Companies comment on rumours all the time. It's very common and simple to just say "We have no plans for _____ at this time". They used to do it.

Why should they reveal new games for this product I spent $750 Canadian on that just got a price increase? Really?

I spent damn near $1000 on this product, I deserve to be kept in the loop via a showcase of what to look forwards to like EVERY OTHER gaming company on earth does. Except Sony lmao.

If you cancel E3 appearances and all other gaming conventions and replace it with nothing I have the right to be annoyed.
Is This what not having a backlog or other hobbies feels like?

So these are all the soon to come PC games from Sony studios.
  1. Heartbreak
  2. Horizon MP
  3. Horizon 2
  4. Bates
  5. Camden
  6. Sackboy
  7. Returnal
Death Stranding, Carbon and Ronin are the only ones that are PS5 exclusive for now. 3 out of 10. Not bad.

Ooooh, documents.

WAIT.
Game development corporation has unannounced games?!
That's shocking as far as news go!
Real insider info.

SOME REAL TOP SECRET SHIT!

I run my own business and have a kid on the way. My hobbies are entertainment/media and sports. Dont be one of those people that can't see your fav company criticized. It's weird as hell.

To me what's baffling is that journos never ask straight questions to Ryan when they have him face to face.

I'd be : ok so elden ring made a lot of money. Money you shareholders would love to have. Why are you guys porting Sackboy instead of bloodborne to PC?

Silent Hill reboot, Resident Evil sequel info and MGS remasters.
So supposedly Sony has an exclusive deal with Capcom for an RE sequel? Hmmm, makes me wonder if it'll be a dual release for PS5/VR2. Wonder where it'd be in the timeline as well.

Well....there you folks go.

REMASTERED version of Horizon Zero Dawn.

Not "REMAKE".

Some are just so gullible for clickbait lol
You are asking the same "journalists" who play games like this...

...to know the differences whether willingly or unwillingly when it comes to gaming tech?

Looks like the list has been leaked.

The two things that give me pause there is the survival-horror games because, they're definitely not live-service GaaS titles, and they both have PS5 and PC versions listed, which might indicate Day 1 to both platforms. Since these are SIE games, they're all from internal 1P studios, so saying this is a 3P game doesn't really work.

I always worked under the impression that if any 1P games this gen were going to be Day 1 PS & PC, they would be limited to the live-service GaaS ones. The fact that may not end up being the case...it just leaves me with a paused expression on my face. Because I HAVE to think that if they're going to experiment with those titles, and given they could be releasing between 2023 and 2025, then it makes for all the more reason some people (myself included) might decide to go primarily PC for any MS or Sony content this gen.

The former was assured, but the latter? Me back in 2020 or even early 2021 would've never considered it. I think that's seriously changing though.

Could be taking the Death Stranding route too though, 1 year timed on PS5 & a PC release after while both versions are being simultaneously developed by them.

Fairly obvious but...

Not a single U.S game on this list so this looks like European studios who are helping a couple of third party japanese and European devs on the side.

SSM, ND, Bend and Insomniac are all working on next gen games. So add Spiderman 2, Wolverine, Cory's new IP, Bends new IP and ND's new game and Factions to this list. 6 more games.

The question is why not show these games? Only Spiderman 2 and Wolverine have been shown and Wolverine was shown with CG. Nothing since.

No. He simply leaked the existence of RE4 a long time ago when he leaked the Village details. RE4 being announced this year just proves him right.

MGS remasters arent PS exclusive either.

ah, besides the horizon stuff, & the pc stuff, we've got a short list of games that i'll be playing the remastered versions of on my ps6...

Very interesting. UE3 Survival Horror @ Firesprite?

Also, all these people are from SIE Europe, probably in for a great day at work tomorrow
I bet each of them is going to get grilled by HR or Security.

I find it weird that they are using spreadsheets to track dev time. Use jira or salesforce like normal people.

They already released several of these games and announced several others of these games. The other ones pretty likely will be released several years in the future, so should be too early to show them.

The answer is quite simple as far as I'm concerned, because up until recently PS5 stock has been HEAVILY supply constrained and they've begun to claw their way out of that funk as of July 2022 and are still working on it. Revealing all of those games earlier would not have pushed a single extra console out the door because supply was WAY WAY below demand. Now that supply is starting to pick up and we have word that they're possibly aiming for record numbers of consoles next FY, THIS is the time to strike and build that marketing hype to coincide with the supply tsunami they're about to flood the market with.

Announcing everything a year ago would've been a wasted marketing push.

Yeah, that could be what they're doing. My thing is though, if that becomes a predictable expectation, how many people who'd of otherwise picked up a PS5 for these games, just decide to wait the year and get it on PC instead, considering the benefits you're likely to get (depending on setup) like more output support, better graphics & framerates, and (eventual) mod support as a perk?

Especially if you don't have FOMO? If that's Sony's strategy, maybe at least don't make the porting schedules predictable, unless they have enough data to show it doesn't matter. Which I guess would affirm there is little crossover in the audiences but that could have other implications like no need for a PS5 Pro, IMO (which personally I don't care if they make one or not, it's not like PS4 Pro sales accounted for a large amount of total PS4 sales either).

Interesting to see how much XDev's involved in these projects. Curious to see the horror game Ballistic Moon's working on, something like that on Decima would look insane.

Im guessing this was leaked/stolen from XDev.
They are the support studio for pretty much every European and JP Sony studio, they also help with NA studios but in smaller capacity because NA has the ICE Team for technical support.
Which is why the only games on there are EU/JP games and the sheet has a bunch of engineers names....those are likely the engineers overseeing the projects.
Theres also a "Tools Support Only" for the two PC titles, XDev likely in charge of helping develop and/or translate tool to port those games to PC.

You're being weird... so invested and being upset about what companies are doing... get some new hobbies and stay away from forums, you're clearly not fine.

I want to see those two survival horror games in UE5 and Decima. Probably going to look amazing!

Interesting that Ronin doesn't have a PC version as well, unless Sony is allowing Team Ninja/Tecmo to self publish for the PC. Like Nioh. And this is only what they're publishing/developing in-house.

I see why there's no event. None of this sounds exciting. Kojima the only thing I'd be interesting in. Not a single RPG is the biggest disappointment . All of course I'd if this is real which I hope it isn't.

The leaked list is a fraction of what SIE's working on (first and third party). Just because a showcase hasn't occurred yet, doesn't mean it won't occur soon. There's ample evidence for something happening in October.

Yes, this is real. And it's the only games they are working on for the life of the system.

Get a grip homie lol

It's a gaming discussion forum, not everyone is gonna agree with everything. I can voice my opinion however I like as long as I'm not attacking anyone personally.

If you wanna read positive sony posts only then the ignore feature ain't hard to find. That would be weird though

Another day another Sony leak lol. They need to control their own narrative and not let leakers run wild.

I have no sympathy for them regardless but jeez, it looks kinda unprofessional lol

Fake shit. It must be a joke, this isn't written by anyone at Sony or in a game development or publishing company.

Genre: "GaaS". GaaS isn't a genre, it's a business model.

Ronin shows "TBC" as genre and engine (they started to work in this game 7 years ago, obviously they know the genre and engine)

London's engine listed as "Custom" instead mentioning its name like in the case of Decima or Unreal.

Ballistic Moon using Decima as engine. This is wrong, they are confirmed to be using Unreal Engine 5.

It's also funny that doesn't mention PS4 anywhere.

And well, they list some XDEV Japan team games while they forget to mention Media Molecule games and also forget Stellar Blade. In addition to this what happened to Helldivers 2, which was supposed to be released this year according to the Nvidia list?

I think this list is a fake.

Could that be a Norman Bates game, as in the movie Psycho? 🤔
I honestly don't think so. It's probably just the project codename, like "Ocean" is supposed to be Death Stranding 2. But it could really be just a game inspired by Psycho that is not related to that universe/story.

Found this as well.
The resume for the actor, who did motion capture for two characters in the game, also lists the game's placeholder title as "Project Bates," and the motion capture director as Joshua Archer, who previously worked on motion capture for games such as Until Dawn and Horizon Zero Dawn.

Ballistic Moon was founded in 2019 by industry veterans Neil McEwan, Chris Lamb, and Duncan Kershaw. Ewan previously worked on titles such as House of the Dead: Overkill and Syndicate; Lamb worked on Until Dawn and Until Dawn: Rush of Blood; and Kershaw worked on various game projects ranging from Heavy Rain and Sleeping Dogs to Disney Pixar Finding Nemo and Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.

Wanna skip E3? Skip Summer game fest and literally every gaming convention in existence and replace it with NOTHING? No showcase, no communication.
They had a show in June and it was the best show of any gaming event we've had so far this year.

It revealed a number of titles including:
  • Resident Evil 4 is coming to PS5 next year: get the first gameplay and story details.
  • Street Fighter 6 has been fully revealed: first details on new fighters coming to its roster, the Drive System, World Tour, and more.
  • Final Fantasy XVI launches summer 2023. See the new trailer and get new story and gameplay details.
  • Resident Evil Village is in development for PS VR2, which promises to be even more immersive.
  • Enjoy a longer glimpse – and some new gameplay details – of PS VR2 exclusive Horizon Call of the Mountain.
