Did a multi and got the stupid tune deaf opera singer.
I'm at 69 wishes now. Still got 3.8 pities (calculated at 80). Not sure if I want Yoimiya... she has one of the least bad designs, but I don't really feel her kit and not even sure how to play her and her comps.
On the other hand, maybe Kirara would be nice for climbing and if I skip this too I guess I'm not gonna pull anytime soon, considering next banners... maybe Charlotte interests me (I don't find her design so offensive and a cryo catalist would be cool *bad um tsh*). Otherwise I'm gonna save until the hydro archon... which is kinda boring.
Any thoughts?

Going for Yoimiya and Kirara also leaves room to try for Charlotte whenever she comes out, so it's like a double whammy. And hey, maybe you'll lose 50/50?
You don't sound that enthused about Yoimiya though. I think she's fun in a ungubunga kinda way, and she's easy and cheap to build. She shreds bosses and ranged combat is convenient. A decent team for Yoimiya would be Yelan, Yun Jin and Zhongli. But I don't think you'll be converted if you didn't like her style from the start. Yae is no option?

I just roll for the sake of rolling at this point. Thinking about Yoimiya I realized there's a lot of characters I haven't used in quite a while eg. Kazuha, which is my second favourite character. But I just like pulling something.

A well built Yae is a beast. Can just wait by the exit of a domain waiting for it to finish. Can finish dailies while running around picking up drops.
Yoimiya is a little fire bug. Melts most of what she comes up against. Cooldown isn't bad, usually done by the the time you cycle back through characters. I use her as dps against the Evangelion since the little robots seem immune to everything else before the insta kill attack. Yanfei is a decent alternative to Yoimiya since she does great damage too.

Yoimiya's great when she's needed. Still my favorite Pyro carry dps in the game, and insanely strong/fun with Yelan (who you skipped). Also great for any non-pyro boss, probably still my strongest single target DPS. Easy to build too. Just slap Rust on her at the highest refinement you can muster. There are like 3 different artifact sets that work for her (Crimson Witch, Lavawalker, Shimanawanawananwa (that you most likely have 2000 extra of from farming EoSF), or even just 2x ATK + 18% sets.
She makes a lot of the more annoying to farm enemy types easier too, specifically balloons. If you can get both her and Kirara in ~20 pulls it's definitely a great pickup for your account.
In other news, lots of stuff is leaking about the 3.8 event. Looks objectively worse than the past 2 years of Golden Apple Archipelago in my opinion. I like island theme better than jungle circus though, so maybe that's most of it.

I've been wanting a new pyro DPS, so I decided to go for Yoimiya. I already 50 pulls into a guaranteed pity after the last Shinobu/Nahida banner, but ended up going to 85 before Yoimiya showed up. Unfortunately, I did not get the catgirl during the process, but instead got 3 Chongyuns and a sac fragments
I decided to follow your advice on the building Yoimiya: I have a R5 Rust that was unused, so no problem there, but I discovered 2 things that revealed my own stupidity:
1. I thought I had all the materials to max Yoimiya, but I forgot that I used most of my Naku weeds on Shinobu last fall. Fortunately, the weeds are pretty easy to farm.
2. Looking through my artifacts and I must have fed all my Shima artifacts to the strongbox because I only had five total 5-star artifacts remaining from that set. Whoops. I ended up putting some hand-me-down Crimson Witch artifacts on her for the time being.
The next decision is whether I build Yunjin to pair with Yoimiya, or just use my already built, but rarely used Bennett. I'm not a fan of spending resources on a support like Yunjin that seems to have a narrow use case.

But I did complete Garcia's Paean finally! I think I only need the achi for "Gold Devouring and Mora Gathering" and I'm back to Lyiue, they added a new commission for the razor thingie, I think. Fuck sumeru forever.

that game has 50/50% permanently unless you reach the pity and if you don't have time to reach the pity they reset your pity to 0.

My issue with the card game being part of the event is that if you've been neglecting it and still using the starter deck, you're in a real bad position to win in the event. I don't want to play a bunch of card game matches just so I can play card game matches.The event weapon is locked behind playing the TCG...
Didn't those fuckers say that it would always remain optional and a side-event in the game? Liars.
Crimson Witch is actually better for her if you play her as Vape (along with Yelan or waterboi or whoever you vape with. She's also surprisingly effective with Shogun for overload, but it's mostly only good on things too big to move. If you pair her with a Dendro character, Lavawalker is great because of Burn. I just use Shimanawa as a generalist set because I'm famously lazy with farming pieces with good substats and I had so many good Shiminawa pieces when I failed to get EoSF stuff.
YunJin definitely boosts her performance, but it's a lot of investment to build her just for bigger normals if she isn't going to be mained or heavily used. If you already built Candace, she's also an acceptable replacement for YunJin. I already built my YunJin for my Rosaria physical team, so I slot her in for my Yoimiya boss killer teams.

Speaking of Sumeru quests, is that "Gourmet" group quest tied to dailies, or have I just missed it somewhere? It's the only tracked quest in Sumeru I don't have done.
I could say a lot about it, it's a fun game that does some cool things, feels like an MMO more than a Genshin clone, but absolutely ruined by the dumbass developers and the monetization model. Let me just sum it up and say "don't play it".

This event uses preset cards/decks though, so your own deck doesn't even enter the picture. You also gain rewards even if you don't win. Maybe just press buttons until it ends?
I've been having some fun with the TCG in this update. They added tons of new cards and characters. Really seems like they're putting a lot of effort in it. But well, ultimately it makes no difference to those who dislike playing.

Ah, that's refreshing to hear. I haven't done the event yet, and I don't even hate the game on concept, but it's a real slog to play in my limited gaming time. Also I've been binging Tears of the Kingdom for a week or so.
Wish it was easier to get specific character cards. As it is, you have to play meaningless duels to get enough points to buy invites to play the characters to get their cards. It'd have been nice if we get 1 character card selector per month or something. I have a few ideas for decks I would try but it would take forever to actually build them, and if the synergy sucks after doing all that, it's all wasted.

If I have to guess, you miss a step in Inazuma. It's been added after Sumeru's release.

She's pretty good against the desert robot boss that's weak to electro.
She's also my 2nd standard C6 5* so constellations probably don't hurt.

False. Pity is at 80, you can buy the character at 120 (110 after you collect all 4star weapons, which is quite fast).
So it's better than Genshin on the pure gacha aspect.

I think C6 Yae probably added at least 10-12k damage per shot from her turrets when they hit. Some doing 36-40k per shot.
2pc atk 18%, 2pc EM +80, her 5* weapon. Atk, electro, crit dmg artifacts. Crit dmg at 249% I think.
Anyone figure out Kiara yet? C6. Does very little dmg.

you lose your tokens if you don't use them, so you need enough crystal for 120 yes or yes before pulling because you lose your guaranteed pity, your guaranteed pity is those tokens, my guaranteed pity in genshin is there even i leave the game for years.
what you don't lose is your 50/50% count even if you get one 5 star, but that 80 pity is always 50/50%,

50% pity on genshin is 90 pulls, on ToF is 80.
100% pity on genshin is 180 pulls, on ToF is 110.
It's silly that you keep mentioning YOU HAVE ALWAYS 50/50 when it's FALSE because you'll buy the character at 110. You decided to go all in without having 110 pulls? Well, that's very stupid and that's on you. Like pulling on Genshin when you don't have the 100% pity and expecting the featured character.
There's a lot of valid criticism about this game and some shitty mechanics. This is not one of them.

First of all, welcome to the Yoimiya club. On her way to another record setting banner I'm sure.
Secondly, she really needs her normal attack and elemental skill talents leveled to see her "real" numbers. I'm seeing from 12k to 40k per hit during her skill depending on crits and vapes and stuff, at big boy world level 8.

Also Keq is good now with Dendro/Aggravate. Plus she works great in fast swap teams because her burst and skill are low energy requirement and low cooldown. I pair her with Nahida and they're great together.
Congrats on C6, sounds beastly. I don't like the idea of off-field C6s for some reason, but glad she was "worth" it to you.
You mean Kirara? She ain't a DPS, she's a shielder/bloom driver. So either you use her tap skill to make a shield and switch her out or hold it down with Nilou Bountiful core team and just run around and bump into things for huge numbers. There's not too much to figure out. I built her as a shielder primarily, and she's nearing 50k HP at level 80. If you're doing her as a core driver, go crazy with EM with some HP on the side.
It ends with "I knew all along" just like every character quest, don't worry.
All that can be said really. But as Fuz mentioned, I don't think the pulling was even in the top 100 issues with ToF. Maybe if you were going to hyperwhale 6* multiple characters, but just to get a single copy isn't so bad.
Their piddly amount of F2P resources and the game itself, now those issues I could write a book on.

This is just a on-topic example but I've seen it increasingly often. Western translators are canceling the use of "he" and "she". They're taking too many liberties to twist their translations to push an agenda.
You have no idea how this pisses me off. Also because I'm 100% sure that if I start a discussion about it on reddit it would be censored in 0.1 seconds.
Have I become too sensitive to those things?
On to other matters. I'm really liking Yoimiya, especially paired with Yelan she's tons of fun. Got her a Crimson Witch set, maybe I should switch to Shimenawa, though. Dunno. I can see why the squealing pig would be a good pair for her... maybe if I'll eventually get her to C6 (C4 now, goddammit). Although, her kit is a bit at odds with itself - the skill says "main DPS" but the burst says "off field DPS". Maybe it's a good thing, so she's versatile... but I'm not sure, with only 2 buttons she feels limited.
Anyway, she looks great so far, why is she so overlooked?

The burst is the biggest problem with her kit. It's oddly limiting (especially with Shimenawa's which discourages using it at all) and just not very powerful or interesting. I think the idea was that you activate the burst right before you go through your rotations, but it just doesn't work that well. She really needed something more fleshed out since her E ability is so basic.
She's often compared to Hu Tao, who has a higher damage ceiling and more AoE. But Hu Tao requires her C1 and signature weapon to become really good. Yoimiya is more like a budget option that's easier to play. I wouldn't be surprised if many people were just too invested in their Hu Tao to even consider Yoimiya.

I reinstalled it after seeing the pc version but I'm not playing it I left the pity at 50/60 I'll wait for something that really interests me to play again, right now I'm trying aether gazer and I liked it, at least it feels more different than The honkai formula because I've been playing honkai impact for too long.

Her turrets bypass 60% def at C6 and an earlier constellation boosts electro damage of other characters as well.
Melts the new desert area boss. Only go through 2 shields.
