Ghost of Tsushima |OT| - Summer blade cuts through, the PlayStation shall go on, this is its swan song

You’re correct. No vibrations for the hidden altars
I immersed myself so much into the story that I started bowing out of respect to some stuff, even to sea near piers or giant trees in the middle of flower fields etc. and I unlocked the trophy all on my own. That moment is one of many that sealed this game as my one of the Games of the Generation.

Also realized each time you correctly bow to unmarked alters, there is something happening, like fish jumping up from the lake, or a beautiful single bird coming and singing, or lots of butterflies appearing out of nowhere... gad damn this game is chock full of details. I believe we will find lots of Easter eggs in it since it was in dev for 6 years, devs surely must've come up with weird stuff.

I bought a sex doll, but I keep it inflated 100% of the time and use it like a regular wife
Now, to continue playing on hard or switching to lethal. What are you going to do guys and gals?

I’m nearing the end of act 1 still having fun. Difficulty wise it is just right imo. I can one shot everything more or less but 1/3rd of the bigger battles I have to play multiple times before I play good enough. That is a nice enough challenge for me.

I don’t need something like Sekiro in every game. Might end up trying out the ultra hard mode after I beat it tbh.

Completed the game yesterday afternoon and got the platinum 2 hours later.

Although I was fully satisfied by the game and the story it told, I didn't think I was going to get emotional at all.

And then came the final tale.

When Jin and Lord Shimura write the last words of clan Sakai and clan Shimura, I didn't expect to have to write a haiku, and I especially didn't expect to write one so beautiful. That caught me off-guard. It left an impact on me.

I did not hesitate to spare Lord Shimura. Jin is traumatized by the memory of witnessing his father's death, and feels responsible for not helping to save his father's life. I couldn't imagine Jin killing Lord Shimura and owning the responsibility for the deaths of BOTH of his fathers. I do appreciate the choice, though.

I will return to Tsushima when NG+ is available and I am hoping I will be able to do it on PS5.

Thumbs up.

I think some of you misunderstand GymWolf GymWolf . He is very critical of games, but you can be so and enjoy it too. Not everything is in absolutes.

Hell some times I disagree wholeheartedly with his points, but I respect his opinion otherwise.

And onto the game, still wandering the southern side of the island, taking my sweet time (thanks job!).
Loving it to bits, I still haven’t run into glitches in my base PS4, but that Standoff glitch seems common. I try not to interrupt the sequence once I’m into one just in case.

Holy shit that makes me wonder, if you kill Shimura, do you then read his Haiku???? Anyone that chose to kill him could you enlighten us?

played some more, realized i get owned every other time i decide to stop and have a stand off.

i'm playing on normal difficulty. it's really not an easy game. if you are good at fighting and never loose then good for you but i don't think that is representative of most people.
They should probably reduce the amount of healing you can do too in lethal. The game gives you so much resolve.
eh, i disagree. it gives you stuff after you kill people or fight. so you have to risk in order to get it. so many times i have been riding around on my horse w no resolve and i decide to stop and fight and i die before i'm able to get some more.

I'm having so much more fun now that I turned it on easy (i suck, I know) and can explore a bit more freely. I should use the photo mode but ill spend more time doing that than exploring. Great game

Damn, they ain’t fucking around with lethal difficulty.....one good hit and that’s it. I love it as it makes the combat feel a lot more consequential and authentic, but it does make the camera’s dificiences all the more glaring and problematic.

I’m confused about the tales. I have two for Lady Masako...one titled “The Family Man” (in Toyotama) which says I’m on 6/9, and another named “The Traitor” (in Izuhara), which I’m on 4/9. I know for a fact I haven’t played ten of her quests.

There’s only one revenge story of hers that always plays out the same?

You should go in order, like 1/9 is first 2/9 is second, 4/9 comes before the 6th in time, some are available at the same time.

Some parts of her tales are really short IIRC. Like you get a mission credit for just talking to a couple of people in a village at one point.

Finished and got the platinum trophy.
Very good game.
Some big flaws and some big strength.
The best thing in this game is really the music.

Grundle: The Awakening
If GoT was made by Ubisoft:

- Mongols would be templars in search of some lost divine artifact
- The game would have naval battle shoehorned in
- The best outfits would be microtransactions only
- Cringe romance options, gay included
- Tiered loot, leveled enemies
-Female samurai (Onna-bugeisha )
-janky gameplay
-actually misrepresents Japanese culture. ( not sure about that one but meh)

Dude if they go and announce an AC: Japan after this, they have some shoes to fill 🤣
They could set it closer to the arrival of the west, on the main island, with much more giant cities, and it would still be pretty different than the rural and largely unpopulated Tsushima. Or they could do China, Thailand, tons of options really that would be neat.

They were considering doing Rob Roy and.... can't remember the other...but seems like they could go anywhere. I like the Japanese setting though and I'd love more of Jin's story.

Edit: Three Musketeers was the other one!

Alright, now this is confusing as all fuck.

Now I just completed a Norio tale, and Lady Masako’s “The Traitor” (4/9) now switched to “The Thief”, which is now at 7/9? What the hell is going on?? 🤔 This isn’t a gripe, I’m simply at a complete loss as to how the Tales’ mission structure is executed. It appears that other character’s side quests are affected by your progress with another.
