The game looks way sharper and more vibrant compared to Tsushima even with shitty youtube compression. Those of you saying this looks last gen are high.
I think some people are going to be eating crow once DF do their analysis.

Agreed, but there's still a chance it may have more features like RT on the Pro version.Looks great to me, I don't get all the whining. If they can keep a consistent framerate and high resolution, then no RT was a good decision in my book.
Ofcourse, Gaf is like an isolated echo-chamber.The contrast between the general comments here and on YouTube are pretty stark.
Doesn't look like a big jump from the original is all, depends if that matters to you or notLooks great to me, I don't get all the whining. If they can keep a consistent framerate and high resolution, then no RT was a good decision in my book.
Youtube = full of bots, hive minded ppl claiming for likes every post.Oh no, the graphics police are here!

now i agree with youThere's no question it looks beautiful, but look at the leaves on the ground and in the trees just as an example. The trees all look way more alive like the leaves are being individually manipulated in Yotei rather than being these huge brushes like in Tsushima. The draw distance is further, the texture quality is better. It's a step up all around. It may not be a huge step up, but it's definitely a step up.
It's a youtube, it can't handle the moving foliage at all, no matter the video resolution
I think GOY certainly looks better having spent many hours playing GOT, but I don't think it was ever going to be in the same vein as say, AC Shadows. There's no question it looks beautiful, but look at the leaves on the ground and in the trees just as an example. No! Its a blue boyIt's a boy!
Honestly, that could be kind of cool like what Ubi did with Odyssey.Oh, this is absolutely gorgeous. I would love a game mode where it's just simply sightseeing all of Japan.
I haven't played Shadows yet but I was hoping Ubisoft did that with Japan in Shadows. Like using a hawk for a Flight Simulator style flyover all over Japan, of the aerial views, then slow horseback riding for the grounded views.Honestly, that could be kind of cool like what Ubi did with Odyssey.

True but they still use photogrammetry to some degree I bet. Before the stylization.Keep in mind that both Tsushima and Yotei are hyper stylized versions of their real life counterparts. They look nothing like the real world equivalent.
This is not a knock on the dev or the games, but it's not like GTA where you're like "hey I recognize that place".
