I just want Marvel to take this back already, or get Avi Arad/Sony to have Marvel's chosen one in Richard Grieco as Ghost Rider.

THIS SHIT LOOKS FUCKING COOL.

Only parts I thought were stupid were when he roared, and was talking with that kid; following the fire piss.

Ghost Rider shouldn't have any sort of comic relief imo.

It's probably going to be better because of budget alone. Didn't the first movie suffer from a lack of budget because the CG/SFX sucked up so much of the funds, leaving little for the movie itself?

That was cool, but lol at the directors

Also, please no love interest

Why? All of their movies have been mediocre.

I wish this was sarcasm but its GAF. I forgot every Marvel movie isnt directed by Nolan so they are mediocre.

Forgive me.

The peeing at the end seems like it was just made for the trailer...but have you guys seen Crank 1 and 2? I wouldn't put it past them to include crazy shit like that.

I fully expect Johnny Blaze to fuck a girl while riding his motorcylce during a supernatural high-speed chase.

This is R-rated, right?

I haven't seen Thor or Cap yet, but Iron Man 1, The Incredible Hulk, and Iron Man 2 were all incredibly mediocre movies. And Yamato's not a Nolan guy either. I'd much rather have a cheesy, over-the-top Ghost Rider than a serious take on the character, since I think "gritty and serious" is pretty much the wrong way to take most superhero franchises, considering how silly real-world incarnations of superheroes tend to be almost every time.

This movie has an even smaller budget; first one was $110 million, this one is 85k.

Looks silly. Will probably be better than the original, if anything those two guys know how to make make trashy but ultimately fun movies.

Oh wait, meant 85m. :lol
Whew, ok. I was about to say, 85k and the effects look better than the first movie. It looks like this should have been what hit theaters the first time around.

I love Ghost Rider's look in this one, his jacket and pants having that charred effect/look to them. And Nic's not wearing that ridiculous hairpiece either. I'm expecting some crazy action scenes in this.

Also, I noticed a Marvel Knights logo now. Aren't characters like Daredevil, Punisher, Elektra part of Marvel Knights? I guess the more gritty world of Marvel.

I know, but a lot of the CG is already set in place this time around, so the $85 million is going to seem like a lot more. If I remember correctly, they spent a lot of the budget creating the fire effects in the first movie.

It's the same reason why the pilot episode of Boardwalk Empire cost $50 million to make, while subsequent episodes were significantly cheaper to make.

I know Wikipedia says the budget is $85 million, but in this interview with the director he says the budget was closer to Gamer which was $50 million. Can't really blame Sony/Marvel Nic Cage has a string of box office bombs recently.

If Nic Cage weren't Coppola's nephew he'd be waiting tables at the Olive Garden.
He is (was) an actor of great talent. Not Great with a higher-case G, but great.

I don't know if his recent effort is a combination of poor role selection or that he simply hasn't got it in him anymore.

Sadly, I suspect a little of both.
