Laugh all you want, but the footage they showed at Comic Con was awesome and definitely R-rated.
R-rated Ghost Rider already exists.
It was called Drive Angry.

The first Ghost Rider was really boring on top of being bad, I hope this one has more fun with it.

Why? All of their movies have been mediocre.
I wouldn't say mediocre, more just competent. They are exciting the first time you see them, but don't hold up to repeat viewings. I hope that doesn't happen to Thor or Captain America, because I really enjoyed those.

This should get more praise for how much action takes place in broad daylight. I guess part of his lore is the nighttime curse shared with vampires, werewolves, etc. Neveldine/Taylor are throwing that for cinematic purposes and I applaud that.

Word.

Always thought these guys have a great eye ....sucks they still only made one legitimately good film with the original Crank.

Still, glad to see they got a budget and hope this turns out well.

Looks great. First movie would have been passable with villains worth a damn.

Thinking on it, Ghost Rider works better as a reverse slasher movie villain. He doesn't need a bad guy per se - just bastards that need dying. Looking forward to this.

Also appreciate the crazy scream - I always figured that as part of the character, don't know why but it always made sense to me. Clearly it makes sense to the directors too. :D

Will probably be a director's cut that will be R rated. There's no way this was going to theaters with anything above PG-13.

This is why the talk about Wolverine being rated R is laughable.

Not surprising, the team behind it are only good when they are given free reign (ala Crank) and not forced to dilute or dumb down their movies.

It's a shame, I was looking forward to an R rated G.R, it would have been the best thing ever but PG-13 was always going to hold them back.

booo, that sucks to hear. I had such high hopes for nick cage teaming up with these directors.

Why did they have to dilute it to pg-13.

the film could be neutered, but i don't care for the opinions of those film enthusiasts who are playing critic. sciretta especially is an absolute goon.

The only reason this movie exists is because Sony didn't want to lose the licence. It was never made for the right reasons.

In 5 years Sony will shit out another one. Fox and Tom Rothman will shit out another Fantastic Four and Daredevil in the meantime.
