I continue to really like this feature. The Pinball game wasn't the most exciting to watch though, proving once again that democracy sucks.

I remember waiting to get my Saturn and then it wasn't doing so well in sales, so they put out the version with a free copy of Virtua Fighter, Virtua Cop 1 & 2, and Daytona.

Man, that was a sweet deal.

Bunch of degenerates wanting to see Valis, a notorious porn game series.

Hah, didn't know of Valis X:

Valis X was a hentai attempt to resurrect the series. There are five Valis X titles that retell the stories of the first four games containing copious amounts of lesbian acts and tentacle sex. The game was developed by Eants but was published by Telenet Japan. This was also the last game published by Telenet Japan.

The game was released to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the series however, the game was poorly received by critics and fans of the series.

So I should just uh, so I should watch the VJ playthrough of Deadly Premonition while skpping BR? For the full *effect*?

Brad and Ryan do find some stuff that Jeff and Vinny don't, and Ryan's reactions to some of the stuff during the endgame is legendary, but the VJ is overall way better.

There was one day where the VJ episode had them figuring out that there's an intended simple way to defeat a notorious enemy type relatively quickly, while the BR episode was Brad using patented Bradtech™ of trying the same failed strategy over and over for 20 minutes while shouting that it's the game's fault.

Mind you there's a lot that definitely is Deadly Premonition's fault, but the BR run has some real Brad moments

lol yeah. at some point Telenet started going belly-up and had a firesale on their properties, and Valis went to an eroge publisher

the series always kind of flirted with the risque but it definitely took a turn for the weird when that happened

I watched BR first and VJ later on, and I still prefer the former. Brad's dulcet tones are irresistible. The playthrough itself is pretty good, too; frustration and all.

Yeah it was the first ER I watched. At the time, I was convinced that the game was just really difficult, but after watching more of Brad playing games, I'm not so sure anymore.

The game is a fucking chore to play that's for sure. The combat is bad and buggy, the driving is abysmal. The story and general weirdness is worth it though.

you speak so well

Yep. That's why it was a perfect ER game, I could watch other people suffer and still get the fun story. I still tried to give it a shot but it was hard to play more than a couple hours.

Hoo boy. Guess I'll go through the VJ and then pick up the BR in the future.

For sure. I had to really force myself to finish the game because I wanted to see the conclusion. I think I would've enjoyed just watching the ER first more than playing the game myself.

I love how they kinda openly say that they are emulating the games (obviously) but then still go away from the screen anytime Jeff has to open the GUI lol
