Ok, this is going to blow up in my favour an argument I've been having with a friend that Destiny and WoW expansions are basically the same.

WoW expansions have a lot more to them.

I can't say anything about the Destiny expansions, but the WoW expansions are mostly great. I would have kept playing it if not for the fact that I have an insane backlog.
When Brad laughs the whole worlds laughs with him.
He has the most infecttious laugh in the entire world.
Just watch the video with Vinny chainsawing the ground, the sqeaks and noises brad makes, it's hilarous.
More laughs keeps the bad monsters away

Ahuh. His argument was basically they were comparable since they both have raids. Something something. Blizzard and Bungie no different owned by Activision. I'll be interested to see where the goalposts go now.
A streamer friend preloaded the game, but it's not launching. Same goes for a few other of his buddies.

It did, but if they put out a release patch that takes time, then it has to unpack. If the servers fall apart both of those become hard.

GTA V did have pre-loading yes. The game is 60 GB on it's own, and unpacking it on my PC is taking over 100 GB.
I imagine there's part of the process that authenticates the pre-load which is the bottleneck.
