nanomachinesIn Metal Gear lore is Raikov related to Raiden?
Old Games > UPF
most things > UPF
UPF > no content
it's also nice to have regularly scheduled programming once a week.
Absolutely. But it could really be anything else and it would be more interesting.
cabela's african adventures sure is something!

upf was 1000x better with vinny. brought (mostly) the best games, asked questions about other games, and brought comedy. Not that it's entirely lacking any of those things now, but you could always count on vinny to make the show interesting.
Now if I'm around when it's live I'm either watching it while doing other stuff or turning it off early to passively watch it some other day.
most things > UPF
I just saw in the new releases tab that they are releasing another RBI Baseball? Will it this time not be shit?
UPF used to be good. Now they plan things out way to much. It feels like they are just going through the motions. They need something to spice it up. Every time I watch one, I get the impression that they can't wait to get out of the office and go home.
Plan out what too much? One of the main issues with UPF is the lack of planning when it comes to what games they bring.
I certainly agree with the lack of Vinny being noticed on UPF, he'd normally bring a game that was hilarious to watch and even when he didn't he had a good amount of energy to carry it. The UPF a few weeks ago where Jason brought the horror movie fighting game felt like the best UPF in a while and I'd like to see Jason get a permanent slot, at least that throws another person into the mix to liven things up a bit.
They need to hire a video producer who has literally no personality so people will never want him to come in front of the camera

this is why we need robots more than ever
Remember scrub league? That was a neat idea.
GB NY has PLENTY of non-gaming personalities to draw from...I'm thinking CNET.Scrub league only worked because they were in an office with a bunch of other people comfortable with being on camera who weren't covering video games.
Outside of the 2D cutscenes, the sound mix and near the end when the ragdoll went nuts, Cabela's seems like a pretty competent game.

You can't really call any of the GB or Gamespot staff "scrubs".
But I will say that UPF is starting to kind of have that TNT towards the end feeling to it, where it appears to be more of an obligation than something the guys enjoy doing.
Will we ever see another good hunting or fishing game? The last one I can think of is Fishing Resort Wii.
