Coca-Cola really dropped the ball on a co-marketing deal. Imagine how much Axiom Surge would be consumed and talked about on GB this week if they had produced some.

I wonder if by virtue of being "[not] Harvest Moon" it will break the curse of "well, we fixed X this year but now Y and Z are worse"

that last Harvest Moon somehow reviewed so poorly even I didn't buy it. I think that's the first one in like 10 years I haven't bought.

Grand Bazaar was an underrated game

I haven't played a HM since a Gamecube one over ten years ago, but i've always liked the idea of them. Will think about picking this one up.

Here's hoping MGScanlon 3 can wrap it up this week. They only need 2 more episodes anyway, given what's left of the game where they've left off.

The parent company must be really sick of the constant cartoon porn if they're ditching the site for a youtube channel averaging 200 views.

Eh, once the admins started to crack down on the rampant porn that was being uploaded (especially the Hentai fanart for non-hentai characters), it became much less of a problem. The biggest (perhaps only) reason is undoubtedly the low traffic that AV was generating, as even during the Whiskey days, AV generated far less traffic than the. Essentially, AV has been running on fumes for the past 5 years, ever since their full-time writers left. I think it has largely been run by volunteers ever since, and it sounds like traffic never improved. At some point, it makes no fiscal sense to continue maintaining servers for it, and it's cheaper to just transfer the content to free sources like Youtube and Wikia. To be fair to the contributors, the Anime boom had pretty much wrapped up by the time AV was founded, so they were competing against long-established players (who offered similar features at the time) for a piece of a shrinking and/or small pie.

i hope they dont take too long between mgs3 and mgs4.

Can't wait to see Drew get into that game.

I bet Drew will enjoy the ending of MGS3 so much that he'll wanna jump right into the next game immediately. And I hope they do so, in order to stave off forgetfulness.

It was a one month gap between the first MGS and MGS2, and two months from that to MGS3. Considering it's the most consistent video series they have going aside from UPF, I'd hope it'll be back quickly.

drew doesn't remember what happened in the beginning of MGS3 already. He's not exactly retaining a lot regarding the series.

There are many people I would enjoy as new hire, but I'm always stopped because none of them seems particularly interested and capable to write news stories regularly.

Yes, probably a big(ger?) audience for this genre in Europe, if they can work out the distribution.

I can't see anyone picking it up without the Harvest Moon brand name on it. It'll probably just be an eShop exclusive released like a year afterwards, or some shit.
