All this FOB whining is so stupid. you just have to do the one missions where you are invaded and that's it. You are not required to establish an FOB and the game goes as far as telling you so within the tutorial. So if you don't FOB then you're fine.

Some people will complain about shit just to do so.

Seems like they know what theyre doing: get those feb sales when there's nothing else out there and then release a decent collection during peak holiday season. It's pretty smart really and this collection release helps bring the game back into the spotlight in time for GOTY discussions.

also, for those considering Mario Maker: I recommend the retail version. The booklet that comes with the game is such a neat little thing that i didn't expect. Made me happy I went with a disc version even though i main digital

You are literally forced to make one. You'll be locked into a tutorial where the only way to back out is to turn the game off. That is, if you play the game online. I have to play offline so I never have to do the tutorial. Once you do the tutorial, your shit can be stolen whenever regardless of whether you're playing or not. Logging off PSN every time I play is not a massive deal but I'm gonna say the FOBs system is shit because it's shit. Not complaining for the fun of it.

I finished the episode and the game was like "you can do this for more resources and do side ops for better protection but you dont have to do this." So i didn't do it. Mind you, like almost every playthrough i have of the game I was offline because the game kicked me off so maybe you need to play that mission offline to avoid any forced FOB nonsense.

But i can vouch for what Jason says, you do not need create an FOB. and if you do, i'd imagine that not putting anything on it would be the best approach to it all. My understanding is that the only things that can be taken from you are resources you put on the FOB sooooooooooo dont put any resources on the FOB

Honestly, that seems a little early to me. Having gotten married a little over a year ago, it seemed to me that most people are engaged a year or two before the big day.

Then again, some people do it fast.

Good point. Personally, I haven't played many new "big" releases this year, but I feel like it would be a shame if Bloodborne wasn't seriously considered for a pretty high spot due to its comparatively early release date.

I accidentally stumbled into the Quiet mission. I'm so lucky I had my sniper with me for a side op, can't imagine doing that trying to crawl around to the effective range of your regular weapons.

Apparently there's a mission requirement to beat it without firearms... I thought the tranq method was tedious, but I don't even know how it's possible without guns at all.

Yeah, he says it's like Dark Souls, but in Dark Souls you have to actively choose to read the messages. You don't just see them all the time.

i actually really enjoyed it because quiet can't one-shot you in normal so rushing at her and trying to tranq pistol her face is actually a viable strategy.

I also ended it by seeing her get up in a pool, start dancing, and saw her health start rising at which point I abandoned all subtlety and ran in and punched the shit out of her

I did her with the tranq pistol as well. Was pretty easy. Once the loses sight of you and you know where she is it's so easy to get to her.

Just an FYI to those on the fence, on the receipt for the Mario Maker eshop purchase there is a phone number you can call and Nintendo will send you the physical booklet for free. Now I'll go back to lurking.
