I just realized I've now played Until Dawn twice, and watched different "Let's Play" four times. Until Dawn has given me over 30+ hours of entertainment in the past month. I bothered to write a review in the middle of all that somewhere too.

Until Dawn is a pretty great game. I hope Beast fights for it during GOTY.

If they continue with the "Best Surprise" category, I think it has a solid chance to nab that.

The day until dawn came out I decided to check it out being played on Twitch, it was the very last bit of the game - so the late game reveal was spoiled INSTANTLY for me

I decided to show my friend the game so I decided to pull up one of the streams on the Live From Playstation app. I came in and saw the last five minutes of the game without realizing the person playing it was at the very last scene game and ended up watching the ending.

D Dog is always great from the start and knowing where everything around you is, is the shit. But Quiet with a silenced tranq gun sounds like game breaking fun.

Yup I have the same problem. Been alternating between the both of them. They're both really good!

DD is wallhax and amazing at pulling individuals away from groups with bark, while Quiet is a get out of jail free card on good sniper maps. I'm one step further down the rabbit hole in that I can't decide if I want to go lethal or not on most missions. Also I love her humming for some reason. It's not annoying at all like how some people describe.

I think once she gets the silenced rifles it'll probably be her most of the time.

Don't think its anything amazing, but it was a great Playdate game. Can't wait to see what they do next! Maybe Vinny plays the Witcher? Though they'll probably go back to Castlevania.

Her humming is fine, though I can see how it can get a little annoying how it constantly resets when she targets a new enemy.

Nice! I'm really looking forward to the Spoilercast especially since it seems their opinions were split on it. A nice healthy debate on the pros & cons of the story- like a mini GOTY showdown!

When she gets the high caliber sniper rifle and silenced non-lethal rifle Quiet becomes hilariously powerful.

Honestly I started going on missions without either DD or Quiet. Makes everything too easy

I am continually baffled by Brad's loving of Destiny considering the changes in the expansion between how things work now or the new missions seem relatively minor in terms of improvement. Starcraft 2 and DOTA2 are both games I never got into but understood and respected the games and fandom around them but Destiny is just a head scratcher.

I just finished Metal Gear Scanlon 4. Have never seen any of 4 before, only knew one thing about the ending, and it was just part of the game not story related. What the hell was that? And them spending 25 minutes afterwards discussing it all started to make me even more confused. I think the main problem for me is there are so many things in this overarching story that use similar names and terms that it gets super muddy.

who are the patriots? There's the AI that was developed by Zero right? But then the human patriots are...who again? That was who Meryl was in charge of in 4 right?

Its a step in the right direction but the missions themselves seem the same old "Go here. Have your ghost scan something and repeat".


Maybe Destiny 2 next year will be the big chance. Maybe ditching PS360 will give them more wiggle room as well when it comes to how they structure the overall game.


Oh and I am totally not expecting Destiny 1 content to be playable in Destiny 2. Its going to be a clean break. Probably for the best because because a new intro for new comers would be cool because boy. Destiny 1 leaves you with a bad first impression.

I think they will try harder with that. It will have more then vanilla destiny but its never going to be a MMO.

If they could match a Borderlands or traditional loot grind game(Diablo 2-3 / Torchlight 2) in terms of content that would be great. 20-30 hours of missions instead the 6-8 of Destiny 1. But thats probably a big ask in 2 years.


Maybe the solution is have a few more hours of content then Destiny 1 but also change that content up somehow in the end game so its more varied then simple "play it again but now its hard"

"Trash" is extreme hyperbole. I'm not a big fan of Destiny, but TK is getting good to great reviews so far and Destiny players seem really happy with it.

At the very least the Raids and the strikes should carry over from 1 to 2.
