I'm going to shame myself and admit even Beginner difficulty is giving me a run for my money. A lot of that is just learning the ins and outs of the system. Another part of that was I didn't understand how Draco worked and he's now extremely underpowered since I don't use lethal weapons (extremely limited ammo puts me off).

Its kind of a giant wrap up for the trilogy so you might want to at least watch a summary of the first two games.

And yeah she wears tons of dresses and outfits and stuff its how the class based stuff works. Like FFX-2 if you've played that.

My advice is really to do Deckard/Internationale runs until you feel comfortable. Deckard has a get out of jail free card and Internationale's ability to scout for nearby electronics eases the difficulty of the information economy. Once you feel yourself getting confident with movement practices and creative solutions, branch out big time!

Yeah, pretty much this. Internationale seems useless until you realize drawing power wirelessly is super useful on harder levels.

And I don't know if it's truly random but Deckard gets an additional modification that is incredibly useful most of the time, at least based on my runs.

I really appreciated how mental that game got. I hated FFXIII as a stand alone game when I first played it, but XIII-2 and Lightning Returns make the trilogy work for me. It's fucking crazy, and that's what I liked about it.

I'd rather the Lightning trilogy didn't exist at all, but seeing as it does I'm glad that they fucking went for it because the ending to LR is some weird shit. Plus the sequels do actually have some creative spark, even if I don't personally enjoy them.

You can ignore the story and still have a blast with Lightning Returns.

I only played XIII and skipped XIII-2, so I had no idea what was happening in the main story of Lightning Returns, and it's one of my favorite games of that year.

I just listened to that 2h podcast someone linked earlier with Jamie Cheng and they want you to play "Beginner". They even renamed it, since people didn't want to pick "Easy", what it was called earlier.
