I've never seen drew wear anything resembling that.

That's probably GoldenEye Source.

Yup. Any time GE: Source has crashed on me (happens rarely), it says HL2 has stopped working. I think it would be funny if my UPF suggestion to Drew gets Jeff hooked onto GoldenEye: Source. MUAHAHAHA!

Edit- Speaking of the game, I decided to try my DualShock 4 with it and it's sort of neat to use the track pad for look controls and the left stick for movement. Clicking it in fires your weapon.

Well I just finished Spaceplan...

Not sure how I feel about the idea of ever actually "finishing" a clicker game but anyway... Was fun while it last.

Speaking of mailbags, I just found an unopened GameCube memory card. I should probably send it to them right?

Also I found a Sims Hot Date strategy guide.

This is great lol

To be honest though, I don't think that putting Sean Murray in the same category as Peter Molyneux a really fair deal.

I'm in no way saying that Sean is without reproach but I think he was just in WAAAAAAAYYYYYY over his head from day one. He bit way more than he could ever chew. He tried to stradle the line between Indie and AAA and failed.

Did he fail though? Game is selling tonnes and a lot of people like the game a lot.

And they should definitely drop the corrections segment while Dan is in New York

because the UM ACTUALLY e-mails are going to be unbearable

I guess I mean more fail with the messaging/PR/lead up to release etc.

Looks like a small indie dev that got enrolled by a major AAA PR cycle that created expectation for a game that never really existed.

If anything, they didn't really fail with NMS saleswise but people will be A LOT more cautious with their next game.

There's going to be a lot of "X feature sounds awesome, but will it actually be in the game?"

I gave NMS one last try. Jumped to a couple more systems but it's just more of the same. Settlement, beacon, patchwork animals. All of the novelty has worn off. And my game locked up again, costing me a fair amount of progress. I just don't have any interest in continuing unless the entire game gets overhauled.

Watching Jeff's archive for NMS and he started out on such a nice planet. My starter planet was freezing cold and I had to constantly maintain my suit while looking for the elements. Haven't bothered to even explore the rest of it.

I'm enjoying the game. I kinda like the loop.

Like thats a realistic thing that would happen...

Hell I still question if XV will even end up being good at all.

The reason for the delay sounds really flimsy to me (a couple people don't have an internet connection to download the day one patch so we'll delay it and potentially lose a bunch of sales), so I'm really nervous it's going to be bad, especially after that platinum demo and awful E3 stage demo.

the rock is a pretty good movie but god damn how cliche is the 'squad of highly trained professionals escorting the goofballs/wild cards are killed off instantly'
