Hopefully one day Vinny will teach Dan how to use the internet so he can look up the answers to all his questions without needing to ask an adult.

Dan could learn to fill up time with other things than endless streams of questions, but reading this thread after quick looks like this is always a good way to find reasons to cringe.

I just don't understand why Nintendo can't just make a normal ass console.

Like the idea of a wiiU 2 that you can take the tablet with you and play the same console games as you do at home anywhere is super fucking smart.... it's like fulfilling the dream of what wiiU should have been. But they had a great idea and then actively spent time coming up with a way to make it worse.

the fucking miniature ass split screen and tiny controls and wagle is just so damn unnecessary, who the fuck wants that shit?

Just gimme a beefed up iPad with a good controller built in that plays good versions of all Nintendo games nes through switch. You'd get kids and parents with this.

Instead they're advertising shit for nobody.

Is this not exactly what the Switch is? other than the fact it probably won't play wii u games

Is silicon an element that grows in the ground?
Is silicon the same as silicone?
This is ska, right?
Do I like ska?
That's a clamp?
What is this facility? Are you harvesting sand?
What do you get out of carving a mountain?
When you're digging is there a chance you could tap into gold?
Is there a special satellite or fish finder to detect where gold is going on?
Do they do the thing with guys in jail that break rocks?
Why did that (breaking rocks) become a prison work thing?
This is where the guys in Armageddon work - or was it an oil rig?
Why is it a bucket wheel? Where is the bucket?
Are you supposed to put your machine's butt on that?
Is this Shaggy?
Is this Shenmue?
Is that a monologue from Fight Club?
Is this Nine Inch Nails?
Have you ever been in the cockpit of a plane?
Have you ever done a donut?
Did you ever pick up a tire?
Do you have to have a special car lifter in your trunk?
(A jack) is the the thing that goes ee ooh ee ooh, right?
You have to have a big crazy drill to take out all the bolts?
The wheel is different than the tire?
An axle is the thing that goes through the car and there's a front axle and a rear axle and there are tires on both sides, right?
The rim is connected to the axle?
Why do you have to take the rim off the axle if you're just putting the rubber part on the outside?
The rim is full of air?
How do you fill the tire?
When people say they got new rims its just the hubcap part?
You put the hubcap on top of the rims?
There's like tiny tires that come inside a lot of cars, right?
Are these machines stealth bomber expensive?
You probably have to have a permit (to use the machine) right?
Jimmying a paint can open - is that like getting a tire off?
Do you think you could apply this knowledge to an actual giant machine if you saw it in the wild?
Is that like a car battery? Like a really big one for a big machine?
It sparks then? (if you put jumper cables together)
Is this a Game of Thrones reference mission?
Is it still easy to put wiper fluid in?
Wiper fluid? That wasn't always a thing?
No seatbelts? That wasn't a common thing?
Is this reggae?
Who was that supreme court guy that said he couldn't define porn but he knows it when he sees it?
What's an up beat?
What's a normal beat?
Is it like doing an up-strum on Rockband?
You play guitar, right?
Do they still have the things in playgrounds that are like tiny little cranes?
Are see-saws still a thing?
What about monkey bars?
(Floors of playground) Aren't just sand everywhere?
What's wrong with sand?
So hydraulic and pneumatic are different?
What else is pneumatic aside from bank things?
There's oil inside of a piston?
What do you mean (oil doesn't compress)? Is it super tight in there? Is oil getting smaller?
You can use real excavators? You can pull levers? In a big closed off room or something?
Is this Joe Cocker?
Is (ore) like a geode? Is it like owl pellets?
Is this like when you run the microwave as the same time as a vacuum cleaner and you have to go flip a bunch of switches in the garage?

(I love you Dan - You're the best :b )

It is that plus a bunch of bullshit that sucks and costs more..... and before we can all agree that the extra stuff doesn't really matter let's just highlight the fact that it has WAGGLE! It's fuckin 2017.

What actually matters is that the controllers don't have a dpad, which says to me that they care more about their stupid gimmick then actually playing games.

All I'm saying is that I want Nintendo without the gimmicks.

Just be yourself Nintendo.

What is happening in that gif? Why would a building need to move its roof but only slightly over the course of a day

The Ben Hanson Beastcast was very good. Funny how they immediately mentioned that he won't join as a video producer. Alex knows how this can go.

Less than a minute in he asked if you could build a spaceship.

Listening to the Beastcast with Ben Hanson, did a law get passed that all video game website video producers have to be really nice guys or something?

You guys can say what you want but I am glad Drew shows off a mobile game from ti e to time. I got Lumines that way and now I am really enjoying Solitairica.

Real talk: I don't find Inquisitive Dan annoying. People in general should speak up more about stuff they don't know about, I know most people's instinct in a conversation is just to sort of nod like they know what's being mentioned but I like that Dan's not afraid to go "wait what's that now?"

Yeah. And some of the best conversations happen when someone questions something.

I guess I just don't understand why he never just looks things up for himself. Or retains the information he learns.

The Beastcast is the MVP of the site. Probably has been for a while, but man, it keeps getting better.

Despite all the disappointing and downright baffling revelations regarding the Switch, I'm still over the moon that I will be playing a brand new, wonderful looking Zelda game in less than two months.

Does anyone else hate the use of "real talk:" comes off so arrogant

There is a big difference between inquisitiveness and ignorance. Dan asks questions not to learn but as a comedic tool. Most of his questions defy common sense and he never puts effort to look for answers himself or to even retain the answers he gets.

We all know it's an act let's not pretend otherwise I'm personally starting to find the bit running out of steam

Dan's not being inquisitive. He genuinely doesn't care he just likes to ask for the moment to get a reaction. If he cared, he'd look up more into it after the video. He just does it because it's his easy bit to keep the conversation going on videos.

He does it all the time.

It only bothers me when he goes into that mode for too long. I get that a lot of the stuff he's asking is just a way to keep talking during a quick look, but he shouldn't make that the entire thing for a video.

I don't like the bit either but you try avoiding dead air on a quick look of a heavy machinery simulator for 70 minutes and see what kinda dumb shit you start spouting.

(which feeds into my wish that they shorten up quick looks again so they're actually watchable from start to finish)

Jeff's commentary is weird as hell during the Switch stream lmao, dude says "let me remove the Joy Cons" and Jeff comes in all like "...and eat them, for a new style of play"
