I kinda wish Jeff had opened the Horizon QL with some early-game story stuff or something because what he was doing looked insanely boring to me.

Also the UI is hella messy in that game. I couldn't believe how many numbers were on screen for a bit there.

I thought the UI looked really good when Brad asked Jeff to turn on the custom dynamic options. I like that there's an ability to tweak a bunch of stuff and see more of the game that way. I also initially was bummed that they were showing post-game side stuff with everything unlocked but that single side area he did ended up having some decent legs so it was cool to see that.

Yeah I don't know how deep they'll get in the two businesses, I wouldn't be surprised if they finish the first area of each if that and then move on.

Either the game is all story or the QL is just really bad. Nothing I saw in there seemed that great. But Jeff didn't want to spoil anything so that could be the reason why. Still...

i really like the look of the world and the setup and stuff but i gotta say the game looked reaaaaaaaaaaaally paint by numbers open world.

i guess it's the dressing of that game i'm interested in.

that initial ui though, man. encapsulated everything i loathed about the sasswots creed UI... i stopped watching halfway through cos i had to do something. I'll pick it up again later

Gotta agree. This QL for me really undid everything Jeff's review had done in terms of making the game seem interesting. Maybe if they had shown more early game gameplay and story? Spoiler culture claims another victim.

Yeah most likely. The fights with the humans definitely seemed pretty generic but most of the encounters with the robots looked neat with their unique abilities, though it might just devolve into trying to shoot those off at the end of it all.

Oh and he tweeted how excited he was to work with AREA5, so I looked up their documentary series and Jesus...that Kickstarter is 3 years old. No new footage since september '15.
