Just finished my dissertation.

GB gaf, what should I play; Nioh or Nier: Automata?
The butt robot gives you the intellectual challenge.

I'm not shitting on Horizon, I'm saying the faces there look like an improved version of other Bioware games like DA:I's animations. ME:A's are somehow way worse then what they've made before
I know, sarcasm is hard to convey sometimes, sorry.

It can be a marital aid.

I haven't played Nier, but I'd go that way just for the mind fuckery and the booty androids.

Should be sometime today. I don't know why but I feel like Dan isn't going to win. If he does, I voted for him twice so I expect an invite.

He won't win, but he'll still get a free wedding out of it. He'll just miss out on the airfare and other benefits of winning.

Everyone should play Nier Automata.

Apparently they did use facial capture to some degree with ME:A. So, while the tech might be more complex, the end result looks worse than what they've done before.

ME1's animations were very impressive for their time and they've (mostly) held up pretty well, despite the simplicity.

I imagine it is very unlikely, but are there any spoilers for the first Nier in the QL? I'm still playing through it for the first time.

I find stuff like that just fascinating. I really want to know how this happens. Bioware is an experienced dev, EA is a giant publisher how does this happen.

Am I right in assuming overrides are basically Mount or AI fight buddy? I thought I read that each machine would have a relatively unique effect but haven't really encountered anything past those two routines.

It's just that really. The difference is more in terms of what they can do in combat. A Thunderjaw would be a way better combat bot over a Watcher and certain ones are better mounts or more versatile in both aspects. Still wish you could ride a thunderjaw or sawtooth or even a stormbird into battle. That would absolutely be badass.

I love how Jeff is becoming more and more baffled by ME, he is vocalising my reactions perfectly throughout the stream. I'm still hoping the overall game is good.

The sad part is, that the combat actually looks fun. I like it when games give you a lot of freedom of movement. I'll play this once it's part of the EA vault in 12 months or so
