DKC games are my favorite 2D platfomers while 2D Mario games bore me to tears. Funny how that goes.

Well, it's not that surprising really since Mario games are really boring.

Now here is a terrible opinion.

When I mentioned my desire to go to Japan on a shopping spree it set off a situation where I now get people asking me when "The Raid" is happening at least once a week. People seem disappointed that it isn't a thing. So that's sort of forced me to be less open about plans. People take everything as gospel and then get pissed when it doesn't happen... even when it's something I made up on the spot during a podcast.

Even the stuff I talk about in that post could completely backfire, nothing's ever set in stone. So, generally, I'd rather refrain from making statements that people take as promises and instead wait until we have something to show.

Polygon is a 'throw enough shit at the wall and hope some sticks' site. Seriously, they're trying to do everything. Problem is, they've got a bunch of editors living all over the country attempting to build rapport over Skype and Hangouts. Seriously couldn't listen to that video for more than 10 seconds because of the awful Skype-stilted conversation. I do wonder when Vox is gonna cut them loose. They've spending a ton on editors, but they're not getting the critical praise or mainstream connection The Verge has (and probably never will), so sweetheart advertising deals (like the MS documentary) will probably dry up quick.

What exactly is the 'format' of a QL? I don't even think Giantbomb knows, it's basically a catchall term for longform preview at this point.
