Yeah I also really enjoy it so far. But I also really like hiding in a corner for minutes to learn the path of the AI and then sneak by unnoticed, so maybe I'm just weird

Nope, not weird. It's why I loved the original Splinter Cell games - I'd treat it like a puzzle game and spend ages perfecting my route. The CIA level was so satisfying, it permanently changed the way I approach games.

If there's a lot of that in Thief, I might check it out.

I agree with Brad that a game pad is best for RE4. I will just use the mouse for the shooting gallery. But I dont think he knew he could just press Q to do the 180 turn instead of trying to hit Shift + S.

And he left the "Hey, its that dog" dog in the bear trap.

Yeah, I think it's an okay game. Technically a mess, but okay. It strikes me as something that if I had to play in large chunks (like to do a review of it) I'd probably dislike it more. As of now I just play a few side missions here, a main story mission there. I don't think I've sat down and played more than two hours.

I'd guess it'd be an adaptation thing. I mean, it cribs a lot of the really stylistic stuff from the game anyway, so... and I'd guess it'd be just time compressed. DR is, like, a 20-25 hour game (I think? I wasn't really keeping track).
