Giant Bomb Endurance Runs: Season Two - Who The Hell Is Zach?

I would pay to get a torrent file with all the episodes on mp4 format so I can see the episodes on my iPod Touch whenever I'm bored.
You mean you haven't been downloading the FLV files as they get posted each day and then convert them to MP4 via Handbrake?

I have all the ER eps (P4 and DP) as MP4s on my portable HDD as well as on my PS3. :D

My favourite moments:

-The community hall episode (VJ). The Stewart stuff was great: "BIIIITTCCCHHH" "Yeah well tell him ter fuck off! Wait what rhymes with that" "Tell him to sit on this and spin"

-BR meeting Gina for the first time. "Shouldn't that Gie-na?"

-Spirit Map A and entering the challenge. "WOOAAAHHH"

-All the Keith impressions

-When VJ got Quint's car

-VJ getting stuck on a wall

And, of course, the majesty of 'Life is Beautiful'.

Thanks Oni, but streaming isn't an option where I work :(.

That's a lot endurance run :lol .
Alright, can you tell me how big is the VJ mp4 episodes only?
15 gigs. You should just do it yourself really.

Use something like the Downloadhelper Firefox addon and you can queue up downloading the files from GB's website. Once you get them all downloaded just queue them all up in Handbrake, then hit Encode and let it run til done. Might take a few days, but it'll likely be faster than downloading a huge ass torrent restricted by my shitty upload rate.

How is the quality of the videos output by Handbrake? I've been slowly grabbing the Persona 4 ER medium quality videos at weekends but the first encoder I tried turned it into a blurry mess and I haven't tried again since.

I think they're handing them out in the World Cup thread.

Thanks i'll head there then! Forza Italia!

and btw my favourite moment was BR2, Brad during the cafeteria scene: I'm starting to suspect that this may actually be a work of postmodern genius.

Quality's fine, but I use the high quality vids to convert from.

So i was bothering the GiantBomb Staff:

rain_one:
@taswell No BR ER post today?

taswell:
it's coming...and it is a DOOZY. we take care of you. RT @rain_one:

VinnyCaravella:
Compressor balked during Endurance Run-BR40 last night. At 1.5 hours long though, it sure is a doozy. Should be up later today/tonight.
Damn son, 1.5 hours.

It's amazing how eager I am to watch feature length ER episodes daily considering I've had the same three Netflix movies sitting on my dresser since January because I can't find time to watch them.

How long was the longest P4 ER episode? About 1.5 hours, right? I almost want to say 1:36 or so...
1:19:47 I think was their longest, going by file size anyway (ep 68 HQ FLV converted to MP4 is just over 1 gig). The club bossfight sequence.

Holy shit, that's a lot of continues.

No, it makes sense. VJ stopped at the same point as BR did, and their next episode (the second to last) was about an hour. Depending on how much screwing around they do in Chapter 26, I can easily see a 1.5 episode for this one with no continues, then another short one to finish it off.

Heh, I just watched Spoonys ER because I apparently can't get enough of watching people playing DP and I almost feel nostalgic seeing the beginning of the game. :lol

I'd watch Spoony's but he sucks at meeting a deadline, the thing I love about ER's is they are out everyday, but the weekend understandably, and they are out pretty much every time without fail. Everything Spoony has done usually has month-long breaks that are erratic in length. There's like a year break between the final SWAT level or something close to that. I might watch it when he's done...whenever that will be. VJ was pretty much perfect though, I don't need another one.

Keep in mind that when driving, York would hum a lot when the talk button would pop up.
Yeah I know, Vinny did it a lot outside of the car. I liked it, apparently there are haters already :lol

I enjoyed how vinny was humming game tunes during mundane shit...cause I often do the same thing.

They we're both awesome. People give Brad too much shit. I'm willing to bet the people hating on Brad wouldn't do any better with the game's awkward controls.

The game controls fine. Only Brad would stand infront of people slowly aiming a shotgun. :lol

I love the BR play too, but Brad has some seriously horrible moments.

I don't know anything about the controls first hand, having not played the game. My point is that if there were thousands of people watching you play a game there would be spots where you didn't do everything perfectly.

I think Brad's reputation for dieing in games makes people look for it more, and then be more critical of his play.

Jeff died 3 times in the Alpha Protocol video but I don't see anyone saying that he sucks at games.

There's a reason why "pulling a Brad" was coined by GameSpot staff, not just readers.

Any word on BR-40?

They canceled it. Giant Bomb is going under, and by tomorrow morning will be relaunched as a hip Web 2.0-focused subsidiary of SkyMall, including all of their exciting products.
