I did it my first time through since I looked away for a minute and didn't pay attention to Ashley saying they can mimic voices. I was surprised Dave fell for it since he explicitly mentioned the mimicry on stream when that was revealed.

I fell for it. I don't even remember being tolf they were mimics, and even so, I'm brave and there were signs that she was in the mine system. It could have just as likely that it saved her, so that moment was fucked.

This game is pretty long. I think that would prohibit any replaying I'd do. I'm not that curious about the multiple paths, but I'll give it credit, I'm more interested in the idea here than I am with, say, Quantic Dream games.

I think it is just right. You need to remember things, otherwise the game is just beating you over the head with stuff.

Yeah it's not a very clear consequence given timing based decisions like that don't really come into the game very much until the ending.

The game at that point has also been largely punishing you for dilly dallying, even for saving people (like getting

Matt killed for trying to save Emily, not taking the reckless path with Mike to save Jessica

).

I basically wouldn't begrudge anyone save scumming that bit.
