Against my better judgement I watched the trailer; that sure was racist and vaguely homophobic while insulting someone's late mother for absolutely no clear reason. It's not like I expected anything good from South Park but they didn't even try to comment on anything about Kanye, it was just... fart noises and flappy bird references while mocking the fact that he made a game about his mom? What the fuck?
...also I guess the game never actually came out but I thought it was only ever talked about at least over a year ago. What a topical thing that totally merited going after.

Like I said, that list could go on for a while. There are countless Dan stories worth bringing up again. Sometime I just turn on youtube in the background and listen to a bunch of them. His story about interviewing Kojima is pretty great, especially considering that he went to Japan on GI's dime to drink a ton and do fuck all.

Being sarcastic about how people think Sonic and Crash were never good while simultaneously calling Alpha Protocol trash is too much for me to handle right now.
Stick of Truth was alright for the 10 hours it lasted. I enjoyed the Paper Mario combat system and liked the dumb story (a few scenario jokes were pretty clever), though I was a fan of the show at the time. Now that my opinion on the show has soured, the advertisements for this game have felt grating. Tactical combat instantly turned me off of it. I much prefer the JRPG-like style.
Someone in that trailer thread said this game was gonna be twice as long as the stick of truth. sounds awful

I had really great times with the original, Wild World, and New Leaf but the latter two were definitely due to playing a ton online with friends (a little less so with New Leaf but it also came out in June after I graduated high school so I spent a ton of time with it that summer).
So as long as a Switch version keeps things interesting I'd be down but I wouldn't have as much free time to meander in it anymore due to, uh, being an adult now. Still wondering what that phone game's gonna be too.

You're right, always isn't the best word, but I think they've been doing great. And hey, Tyranny and Pillars were good stuff!
I'll give you Dungeon Siege but AP is a flawed gem!

The characters were great and your interactions with them are still not topped today. It's the only game where all choices in the dialogue mattered because characters would actually remember what you said and react to it, even much later on. It even takes into account how you dress.
I'm not gonna act like the game is a hidden masterpiece, the combat is trash everybody knows that. Flawed, yes. Massively so. But at least in an interesting and unique way. It's still a much more interesting RPG than anything Bioware managed to put out since the first Mass Effect.

South Park gets worse when they try to do more. I liked the first couple of seasons and Stick of Truth because they were kinda basic and amateurish.
In their minds they are probably thinking they are taking this to the Next Level but I just think "nah".

Abby hates all stories. Dan only hates good stories, that's why he likes Wrestling and Kojima.
