Or that user deleted it themselves? I don't know how youtube comments work because I don't want to sign up for G+.

You can comment without G+, they went away from that a good while ago. But not knowing how youtube comments work is a good principle to live by regardless.

Going by that user's comments it's safe to assume he didn't delete it himself. It was probably the downvotes that got it.

I'm still amazed that all the down-thumbing happens immediately after a video is posted. The most hardcore fans of those must be the worst, there's no other explanation.

Oh, had no idea. Assumed you did since there was some period of time where you couldn't favorite a fucking video without a G+. Resorted to using the Watch Later list.

fake edit apparently you can't even add shit to a private playlist without a youtube channel now

It's just the same group of people who immediately swarm any GB content, particularly videos with Austin in them, and downvote. The thumbs up/down ratio always goes up as time goes on since they do it as soon as the video is posted before anyone else can even watch the damn thing.

Apart from removing the thumbs up and down functionality altogether or using a new proxy rating system, maybe YT should implement an algorithm which ensures that users can only down/up vote videos once they watched a certain threshold of the video, which is automatically scaled accordingly to the length of the video.

Yeah, this one had about 25 downvotes before I could even click on it.

I wonder what they think they accomplish by doing it. Probably has something to do with "SJWs" and Gamergate.

I mean I'm a pretty hardcore fan of the site I would say, but they're always faster than me lol

I'd have paid the $30 up front for a full picross game of this size, so no complaints. I'm happy with stylus controls so I don't have the same issues as some people.

but why are you playing picross with the control pad anyway, weirdos

HTC Vive is $799.

Not unexpected given the specs.

Yes, I'm never gonna play it, not into point and click adventure games, but I'm curious how it ends.
It turns out that Dropsy
was an alien the whole time and that the main antagonist was his jealous brother who attempts to kill him. He meets his real alien mother and lives happily ever after.
Seriously.
Edit: I somehow got redirected to hardcore porn sites on the last page despite being on mobile. What the heck was that about?

Also, Dropsy
hugging his animal friends after his brother turned them into mutants to kill him and they instead remember him and love him
is my best moment of 2015.

So the Fire Emblem quick look is good? I kind of don't want to stop playing fire emblem to watch it.

Also I got married and it still won't let me rub anyone's face.

I'm still trying to get through this game without paying. I'm on section 7 after a month.

the fact that the game is being played on the screen doesnt really add much to the QL, what makes it good is that its 30 minutes of dan and austin talking about anime, tactics, anime tactics, wrestling, learning how to make tactical decisions on a bike...

you could put it on in the background during a map and just listen to it like a podcast tangentially related to fire emblem

I know it was mentioned already, but MAN does Dying Light: The Following look bad visually. Is the rendering resolution like 540p for that game?

Its a full 1080p game on PS4 but its just a really bad combination of ugly post effects that detract from the visuals.

They patched in a toggle to turn off the film grain which was pretty terrible but they haven't done the same with the chromatic aberration which is a shame because Dying Light is easily the most offensive and over the top use of the effect I have ever seen. Its borderline "put on your red and blue 3d glasses" level.

Add on top of all that some kind of OTT motion blur and yeah... not a good look

Man it took me a while to realize that the VA for the Crane in Dying Light is the current Sonic VA. He uses pretty much the same pitch and intonations for both characters.

CA is a disease. I just can't fathom why you'd purposefully introduce video artifacts into a game that make it look worse. It's not even free! It costs frames! Probably like, 1, at most, but still! You can make a case for DoF or Motion Blur or whatever but I can't for the life of me understand why CA is a thing.

The best part of post-processing effects is turning them off and seeing how much better the game looks and runs.

I'm not the only one who gets headaches from DoF right? My eyes are constantly fighting with what the game thinks I should be focused on that I have to turn that shit off as soon as I can.

I think the only game that really gets a pass on that shit is Max Payne 3 because they somehow pretty accurately recreated what pharmaceutical withdrawal feels like via post-processing

Listening to the Beastcast, it's pretty bizarre to hear somebody from 2004 writing in with their take on the state of PC gaming.
Was it an all the way disappointment or was it the ending? I've heard bad things about the ending

Well I guess it was "the ending" for me, but because the game is so short that encompasses like a quarter of the game. Once I saw everything coming together I though this could have been so much more interesting.

The CA in SOMA after getting hurt was great though. Forcing you to get closer to doors in order to see the lock status was one of the smartest, small 'punishments' I've seen in a game.

I wish someone on GB was as disappointed with Firewatch as I was. It'd be nice for there to be some dissenting opinions.

Game started really strong, and (Firewatch spoilers)
even though I liked the mystery ending up a lot more grounded than the initial speculation, it ended up hurting the game because it never sold the personal relationship between Henry and Delilah either. It made the mistake of being one of those stories that repeatedly tell you two people are connecting, rather than showing you - constant quips and teasing aren't substitutes for bonding unless you're writing about two 14 year olds.

Honestly blown away it was that cheap. Makes me reconsider my Rift purchase a little.

Same here. Everybody talked as if it's >$1,000. Including two motion controllers at launch is another advantage.

Waiting to see if the PS4 VR Morpheus...I forgot the official name...is significantly cheaper, as an entry option before going full on with VR. On top of the VR equipment my PC needs an overhaul.

I agree with both things! CA worked in SOMA because it was implemented in a way where they knew it was unpleasant to look at, as opposed to Dying Light where they think it's a good thing.

Very well put with Firewatch. The game in general left me with the impression that the writers thought they were far more clever than they were.

That's basically why I was disappointed.
I wasn't bothered because the twist didn't pay off, I was bothered because they felt to need to insert a twist in the first place. The first half of the game was great because it was about two flawed individuals connecting, even if there was a lot of joking and teasing, there were some genuine moments, too. The moment H found the walkie-talkie, the game completely shifted for the worse. There was zero character build after that, it was all about the mystery. The fact that the mystery didn't really pay off in the end didn't help. I think they could've ended the game the exact same way without the mystery, and if they replaced the mystery with more character building, the ending would've had much more impact.

Well said! Reading that helped me understand my own disappointment with the game.

They should have committed one way or the other. Is this a big conspiracy/mystery/sci-fi story? Is this a personal story of love, loss, and self-discovery? Naw, it's neither.
