I'm trying out Jeff's favored way of playing games which is sitting at the edge of the bed.

Gotta say that I kinda like it. I feel more immersed in it and way less lazy. Usually I'm at the back of the bed propped up against pillows. This is kinda nice, I still feel able to get up and out and tend to things or fetch water.

That's gonna lead to bad posture, imo

I feel like my back would start killing me if I sat like that for more than, like, 30 minutes.

Yeah sitting on the edge of the bed is definitely not ideal.

I don't think I've ever actually sat on the couch to play games. As a kid I always sat on the floor, then I sat on the bed, then I moved to a desk, and I've been on a desk ever since. I played Destiny by sitting on the bed and that was a nice comfy experience.

If i had a couch in my room or a nice seat or something I'd definitely be more likely to hook up my PC to my TV every so often to play something. but right now moving to the bed isn't worth the effort of switching the cables around.

I remember being in bridge advanced classes in elementary and hen not giving a shit after 6th grade lol. I felt kinda bad for the teachers I would give shit too lol.

yeah this is kind of what I ran into. some teachers knew how to handle it, either gave me reason to be interested, or left me the fuck alone. and then there were some who felt the need to try to engage me against my will, which usually ended up in an antagonization back-and-forth that I would end up losing and getting thrown into detention.

basically i got into college with zero work ethic, and it worked out about as well as you'd expect. i went back years later, more mature, and a desire to get things done, and actually did.

public schools, man

I've been playing Clash Royale for a few days now and I'm really confused on what Brad is talking about in regards to the currency in the game. The game definitely needs some kind of reward for games played when you can't get any more chests, but I can't figure out how he's used all the currency so fast in the game. Unless he's just trying to progress as fast as possible and opening every chest immediately instead of waiting for the timer. I've used a few of the gems to open chests early when I want to play a few more games but I'm still well over 1000 gold and 200 gems and just haven't felt a need to really use them. I'm just not feeling that f2p crunch that bad in this game.

I think this is the case. He spent all the gems, got to far in the game and then got his ass handed to him.

Personally the timers aren't that bad. You can just set to open it and then go on with your life. Unless they want to to wait weeks like Clash Of Clans is okay. Sure, you progress slow but you do progress.

Yeah and the issue of wanting to play but not being able to earn more chests can easily be solved down the road. I honestly don't see the problem with earning more chests if you have to wait on a timer or pay to open them anyways, but even if you can't get chests you should be able to gain something if you still wanted to play. Even in Clash you could still farm for elixer and gold while you were waiting for upgrades.

Yeah, he kept playing even when he didn't earn more chests so he was winning without advancing his deck and hit a wall.

I don't know if they will change it to allow extra rewards but right now this I don't play enough to bother me. It's a short burst game.

Alex, Austin, and Jeff playing in the Dark Zone is hilarious to me. How paranoid you have to be is incredible. I've been enjoying The Division for the most part.

I do wish the armor parts had some deal of cosmetic changes to them or at least let you be able to hide them under your clothes. I also wish there were more cool and crazy weapons.

If/when Kotaku does go under, where would Scoops and Press Sneak Fuck go?

I can see Patrick trying to do the Patreon thing, but I can't see Schreier having the same pull.

And it's not like there's a lot of positions open in the industry at this point.

maybe he will pull a rorie or alex

living it up in the hotel giantbomb

Polygon sounds like Schreier's obvious destination.

If their hire of Danielle Riendeau is any indication Zam might be moving in that direction as well.

But that said, I think Gawker/Kotaku will end up surviving this.

There a clip of this anywhere or do you have to watch RAW to see it?

If you have hulu you can skip to the beginning of the tag match. It kinda happened off camera since Dan and Patrick are sitting on the other side of the stadium where the camera usually isn't showing fans.

But here's a picture of the match with them in it.

I think Patrick's a converted wrestling fan now. New powerbombcast member hype.

Hulk Hogan is suing Gawker for $100 mil. for posting his sex tape and, if reports from the ongoings are anything to go by, things are going pretty badly for them so far.

They (Gawker) showed Hulk Hogans sex tape
He is suing them for everything, and may actually win

oh so Gawker is actually losing. What's the smoking gun so far?

the only thing i know about the case is there is a person called anna philips all over it and they have a cool twitter photo

well their defense is that publishing somebody's private sex acts is a matter of "public interest" so it's not looking real good for them

especially when they said under oath that they draw the line at kiddie porn under the age of 4
