I sometimes wish my husband had the accent... but nope, somehow he learned to speak with a flawless American accent. No clue how he pulled that off, all self taught. When we walk around here people always think we're tourists :(

No, my partner wife wanted to avoid media attention as much as possible (ironic considering she's a video game community manager...) and was so pleased that we didn't end up in any pictures that she made a Success Kid for it. We did record a short video in the reception room that was live streamed on Sunday (I think the live stream caught us coming down the steps too) but I'm waaaaay too embarrassed to post the link to it. >_<;;; The older women at 41 and 42 got married right around the same time as us though, and recorded their video right after us. I stopped the one in red chucks in the reception room and told her she had the best shoes of the day. The guys at 49 were wed immediately after us - our ceremony was at a station at the top of a staircase and as we came down, they were just finishing with a kiss at the station placed at the bottom of the stairs. I was in awe of their shorts - Seattle is colder than New England right now, it was ridiculous!

SCOTUS has decided to hear two same sex marriages this term, if Kennedy and/or Roberts have their heads on right we could be doing this country-wide by this time next year....*fingers crossed*

That's reasonable. I really think we're in a good position now though; especially after last election, I doubt that both Kennedy and Roberts will side with DOMA/Prop 8. I guess we'll know for sure in six months though.
