Oh man, that song is such a show choir standard. That and turn the beat around were easily the most oft-heard songs during my time in Show Choir competitions.

Hell, we did RD, MH is show choir! :lol

Poor Brittany, I'm glad they are giving her an actual storyline though. I'm a bit tired of Artie's "Woe is me!" attitude every time something doesn't go his way.

I think Sam is a great addition to the show, I like his dorky persona. I don't totally buy that he's straight though, they cut to him a lot when Kurt was singing. I could see him being bisexual and a possible Kurt/Quinn/Sam triangle starting.
Though there is another potential love interest for Kurt supposed to coming later this season.

Great songs this week too. Santana & Mercedes, Tina & Mike, Sam & Quinn and Kurt & Rachel's duets were all great.

The preview I saw was for Rocky Horror....but then a few minutes later another preview came up saying "in 2 weeks, Rocky Horror"....so is there a break for a week?

I kind of wasn't paying attention during Finn and Rachel's duet, so I didn't notice what they were actually singing. What was it and how did they make it so offensive to everyone else?

I was paying attention and I'm totally not clear how it was so blatantly and ridiculously offensive. I'm genuinely confused.

Well I guess a nun and a priest being in love is wrong. Thats all I got from it.

what was the lyrics? i just heard born again and some other stuff. i want to say religion, sex, death, and all that rolled into one and somehow it involved at least on person from glee to find it offensive. but i kinda LOL'ed.

Probably because the song is about love/sex and they were wearing priest/nun outfits.

Edit: You can probably also toss in the fact that this would be shortly after they had the whole a/theism issue.

I didn't get what was so offensive. I guess the costumes but eh.

And is Puck going to be out for awhile? Sucks if it wasn't just a storyline for this episode.

I thought the Mercedes and Santana duet was LIGHTS OUT. I think it may have been been favorite performance of the entire series.....at this point:D

I really liked this episode, and can not wait for the Rocky Horror episode. And I hope Puck isn't gone forever. I liked his character. Gave the Glee club and "umph"

I liked the episode, priest Finn was awesome, other asian duet was good too and Brittany as always stole the show.

but why no Puck????

and boo writers for no Sue this week

not every character has to be in every episode. ;P

Pretty good episode tonight.

I don't think I'll ever get tired of Brittany, she always has so many great lines. Plus, I just about died when she was actually pushing the meatball with her nose.

Hrm, just watching it and all the "Asian vs normal" gags were interesting if only because they were astute. It reflects a racial angst that is hardly represented on screen anyway.

Of course, apparently "Asian" people eat chicken feet all the time. :lol

Wow. Really fantastic episode.

Great use of the theme (duets in an episode about loneliness), great memorable lines ("before we duet, we're gonna do it"), great character moments (rachel and finn were ON FIRE this week) and some really good drama (I feel genuinely bad for Brittany? The fuck?)

It's too bad that Sam isn't gay, but Kurt will get his eventually.

EDIT: Also, *great* idea putting another ad in Raising Hope.

That was a really good episode. Color me extremely impressed; the quality thus far has completely exceeded the back nine of Season 1. Cheers for the return of the ACTUAL Glee!

Also, Jolie lips is hotter than I expected.

Awesome episode! Santana and Mercedes should have won! I also really liked all of the songs this time. The Mike/Tina and Sam/Quinn performances were cute even if I don't like Dianna Agron's voice that much. Rachel was tolerable and I didn't even notice that Sue wasn't around this episode. Oh and poor Artie. Brittany was in the wrong obviously but I felt kinda bad for her as well in the end all alone with her meatball. Also her line "I thought for a while you were a robot" cracked me up.

Okay something thats been bugging me lately, every time someone sings a song they always cut to a clip of Artie being extra into it, whether he's flailing his arms or bobbing his head stupidly. So damn cheesy.

I am so behind. I still havent had a chance to watch last week's episode. That is what lots of work will get you.

Having said that, here is a good (yet short) article on EW about the show that I agree with:
http://watching-tv.ew.com/2010/10/12/glee-season-2-episode-4/

I still have yet to watch "Grilled Cheesus" (off tomorrow, so I will be caught up), but I agree with his take on things.

Oh, and pics from Rocky Horror:
