So apparently Meatloaf and Barry Bostick are locks for the ep, with Susan Sarandon expressing interest as long as she doesn't have to sing.

Read conflicting reports on Tim Curry so I'm not going to get my hopes up on that one as I worship the man.
He's already turned it down I believe.

I cannot with this annoying basic bitch. She, Kurt and Finn should all be thrown into a fire.

More Santana, Brittany, Puck, et al interesting.
I agree with this comment.

:lol at the Rachel .gif.

The Rachel hate in here is disgusting.
When Rachel's over the top control freakishness is played for laughs, like in the premiere, i really enjoy her. When they try to mine heartwarming drama out of her cartoon-ish nature, she brings the show to a standstill.

I wish they'd introduce her fathers already, just to give us another side to her. I don't know why Ryan Murphy is so opposed to doing that.

Bieste has potential to be my favourite character. Hopefully she doesn't get run into the ground like some others.

Just reading the last page or so I had to chuckle, it seems whenever GAF hates the rest of the world loves in spades :lol

Its this way for Big Bang Theory, Glee, and a number of other things. If you hate the direction of the show now you might as well jump off, the ratings are insane so I doubt they are going to change the formula any.

My wife and I came in around the time they made it to sectionals and have loved it ever since

Agreed. Check out the Smallville and True Blood threads for people who watch every episode and complain about the same things over and over as if they are ever going to change.

Some of GAF actually loves to be continually disappointed. It's kinda fun. :lol

Glee is Glee. Take it or leave it. It will never be what you want it to be.

This seems silly because a great portion of those of us complaining (I assume) are doing so because Glee is not what Glee used to be. Glee was what we wanted it to be (and then it stopped being that), and I'd argue that Glee obtained its present popularity because of how it used to be.

Regardless, Glee has not shown the crazy growth in audience (excluding special episodes) of other, more critically acclaimed series such as Modern Family. And on top of that, Ryan Murphy already has a track record of not sustaining a series for long. It's funny that you mention Smallville, actually; will Glee last 10 seasons (let alone half of that)?

It's not silly at all because Glee is what Glee is now. No amount of continual whining will change that really.

Not really interested in how long it lasts. It's obviously a trend show and when that trends exhausts itself it will be gone and rightfully so. None of the Gleeks that fuel this show are interested in how it used to be. They want to hear new cover songs and laugh at silly situations.

The show is about fun and it always delivers that. It's not trying to be an overly self-aware show like Modern Family, which I find boring.

Feel free to continue the chorus of people telling us how bad the show is though. We'll be enjoying it regardless. :D Just like in the Smallville and True Blood threads.

Worst character on the show next to Kurt and Will.

You are kidding yourself if you think this show would be Glee without her.

and hey kryptonian, the hate in Smallville threads has died down now :lol

Glee's ratings have continually improved from the 2nd half of S1 to the massive ratings it gets now, the back half of S1 from what I can tell is where the problem started and a lot of people began to hate. I do not understand how you can say it has not had growth in audience, its not like the numbers went down since the last 2 eps are among the highest rated the series has had.

The first half of S1 ranged between 6-9m, the second half of S1 ranged between 11-13, S2 has had 12-13m. That is not crazy growth?

So no the present popularity is due more to the direction the show took in the back half of S1, the word of mouth from early watchers and fans only got people to tune in and give it a chance.

And I would also point out Ryan Murphy did create a little show called Nip/Tuck which helped FX be a viable cable competitor to USA and it ran for 6 seasons.

didn't hate her in the first 13, got irritated in the back nine and in these past two episodes, have wanted to gouge out my eyes every time she and Finn are onscreen together and/or singing.

Dead

well not really...yet
Finished the first season and loved it. Watching it continuously, I didn't notice any major difference between the two halves, despite seeing a lot of people always saying the show changed after the additional order...

Don't they play HS football games on Friday Nights (...you know, with 'Lights' and stuff)?

Sigh, this episode...

I miss the days when Glee was good.

(Yay for the Across The Universe version of I Wanna Hold Your Hand though)

I'm not sure how I feel about this episode. Having Rachel sing at Burt was really weird. I know she's the female lead, but really? Kurt's solo was great though. "One of Us" was really good too, shame they chose to cut away from it.

And I felt it was a little heavy handed. "I know you don't believe in God, but you should believe in him anyway."

I liked Emma's talk with Finn though, and the fact she stood up to Sue again. Hurray character development!

I PRAY TO THE LORD. PLEASE MAKE FINN NEVER EVER SING AGAIN.

That little detail aside, this episode was a peculiar thing. It actually felt like an episode from the first half of Season One and, gee, look at that, a page full of praise. :lol

I have no hope the rest of the season will be like this though, but maybe I will be surprised~

Except this past episode was too much religious pandering and honestly pretty boring. Last episode had no plot-sense whatsoever.

It's okay. If we've learned anything about Glee it's that they probably won't mention the fact that half of the characters are (newly?) devoutly religious again.

Don't agree at all. Primetime TV had two characters come out as atheist and one as an agnostic. That's fucking huge.

Last episode was supposed to be a fun filler. And I had a blast!

At this point in Glee's life, you know what you're getting. And like I said before, continually watching and expecting different is pretty odd.
