Someone recently tried to convince me that Kurt is a strong, well-written character that gives an honest portrayal of how confusing life can be for gay men. I'm not even gay and I was offended by that.

I don't think there's a single character on this show that I would consider "strong" or "well-written."

I would say that Kurt is easily the most consistently written character on the show at this point. Whether you like him or not (I do) remains a matter of taste.

Well when you're the creator's self-insert I would expect special treatment.

Too bad he's still the worst character.

So far I can't agree. Brittany is quite pointless, so is Blaine so far.

Cause he comes off like an incredibly self-absorbed and manipulative prick who's all "I'm gay, woe is me." Doesn't seem like a great depiction of anyone, regardless of sexual orientation, really.

Kurt isn't an honest portrayal of anything, unless you consider fairy tale solutions to problems honest.

He's also a horrible person, and not nearly as amusingly horrible as Rachel.

The only positive thing about Kurt is his existence as a gay character on TV, but that's it. He's not progressing any deeper cause than that, much less being an inspiration for the bullied.

Sadly he is almost spot on to two of my close friends who are gay, its almost eerie sometimes.

Its not a great depiction but I can say it does exist

Agreed on the ponytail.

Smart of them to have another new ep in two days. Stacking episodes in one week worked for 24, don't know why more shows don't do it.
