I was really digging the new episode until the final scene.
Do they really need to shuffle the couples around again?!

Finn dumped Rachel for making out with Puck but he's (potentially) going to get back with Quinn after she had Puck's child?

Madness.

Idiots who drink what they think is piss over and over and then complain that it's piss are the worst kind of fools. LMAO

I hope they continue their folly, as they just keep leaving bigger ape prints on the board.

Did Glee score a ratings touchdown after the big game?
Depends how you look at the numbers.
Despite plenty of promotion and that sports-fan-friendly opening performance to “California Gurls,” Glee was down 31 percent from Undercover Boss, which CBS premiered after last year’s game.
Glee was seen by 26.8 million viewers and had an 11.1 adults 18-49 rating. This ranks as the highest-rated Glee episode ever (which you probably figured) and is the top-rated scripted telecast of any TV show in three years (which is rather great). Though it barely edged out the previous scripted show to follow the Super Bowl, NBC’s The Office, two years ago. (Read Ken Tucker and Breia Brissey’s recaps of the episode here and here.)
While Super Bowl viewership has been going up to record highs in recent years (see here for the ratings results for last night’s big game), the number of people who stick around afterward has been trending more-or-less down. (Broadcast ratings in general have been declining due to competition from cable). Post-game ratings peaked in 1996 for an episode of NBC’s Friends that drew a stunning 52.9 million, then had its second largest number in modern history in 2001 for the second season premiere of CBS’ Survivor. Fox had the lowest retention in 2005 with an episode of American Dad. Last year, CBS scored a surprisingly strong number for the series premiere of Undercover Boss with 38.7 million. Here’s a chart, showing the Super Bowl and post-game shows using the adults 18-49 rating:

Great ratings considering the Superbowl audience isn't exactly the Glee audience.

Highest rated Glee evah! Top-rated scripted telecast of any TV show in three years!

I think Karofsky can and should be redeemed (though this episode did way too much to set that up, IMO), but I think he should fade into the background after that. I'm not really worried that the writers will try to make him a love interest for Kurt (god forbid), but the death threat makes it a little hard to envision the two sitting together in the choir room every week.
I think I am probably the only person who wants to see Kurt and Karofsky together. This probably says something deeply psychological about my taste in guys and the state of my lovelife. ~____~

i think he lost weight the from the last time we saw him. just a few pounds off i can see kurt and karofsky a couple. they make a better couple than bleghne

Not as foolish as someone who gleefully consumes all of the garbage this show churns out week after week.

Far be it for me to complain about a show that has squandered nearly all of its tremendous potential, and its douchebag showrrunner who is far more concerned about making money than making a quality show.

That would be super disturbing, IMO. Wasn't there some soap opera where a rape victim ended up marrying her rapist? It would be kind of like that.

Let me get this straight--I still enjoy Glee, even though it isn't perfect, so I continue to watch. You seem to hate it with a white-hot intensity, bitch constantly about it, yet still watch it.

Who's the foolish one again?

Karofsky is just confused and going through a hard time in his life. Kurt can totally help him. True love imo. <3

I don't entirely hate the show. Jane Lynch is phenomenal, and in spite of the way they've misused her character, she still makes the show at least somewhat worth watching. She's just that good.

Right on. "You can't quit the Cheerios - it's blood in, blood out" is the best line I've heard in forever. It doesn't quite balance out shit like, I dunno, grilled cheesus and the fucking Warblers but I'll take it where I can get it. :/

Love the series. Despised last nights episode.

Nothing it did worked for me. Was over the top (even by glee standards)...it left me cold.

I try to keep my venom-posting to a minimum, but I'd like to point out that I still watch it because my wife is obsessed with it. In spite of the amount of bitching I do about it.

Good ratings considering its Glee, I mean the demographic does not completely stretch that far. Undercover Boss was a reality show, I know grandparents who tune in for that shit lol

I enjoyed the episode but it is really getting on my nerves about Karofsky.

I mean if it were real life its obvious to anyone paying attention he is gay (in my experience NOBODY is that much of a homophobe unless they are closeted). And the fact he continues week in and week out to be a homophobe who might redeem himself but nope back into a homophobe is just annoying.

Not sure where they are headed with Quinn either, I mean if she got back with Finn doesn't that basically null everything that happened between them. He could not get past Rachel kissing Puck but he can get past Quinn fucking Puck lol

General Hospital. Luke and Laura became one of soaps biggest power couples for about two decades.
It's probably one of the biggest retcons of all time since it changed from rape to a seduction because people liked the pairing.

Rachel kissed Puck out of spite and Quinn fucked Puck because she's stupid. Also, Rachel is crazy.

My friends and family are similarly avid fans so I usually end up having to watch it regardless - well that and I like to keep having an opinion on it. :p

So in Glee-land, they play high school football in February?

Assuming there wasn't a jump of three months between the last episode and this one.

Hahaha Lauren is amazing. It's the first time someone sang a love song to me and it felt like crap. Your valentine's candy sucked. I had to eat the whole box to be sure they all sucked!

The sleepover with Rachel, Mercedes and Kurt was cute.

LOL holy shit at lauren and santana fighting.

oh no. quinn better be going back with Finn. but then again I can feel rachel will see them together and talk to sam about it but then it would mean nothing but rachel will make a big deal out of it.

Wait, Dalton Academy is in Westerville?

That's about two hours away from Lima, meaning Kurt is commuting four hours roundtrip to school every day.

Why do I continue to expect logic out of this show?

Don't try to watch Justified.

Blaine was ready to go after the random GAP guy and he told Kurt that he needs time and doesn't want to hurt their friendship? Hahaha isn't that what you say when you're not interested.

I remember a scene in the first season where the New Directions kids were sitting around the choir room and having an impromptu jam session. And it sounded like actual singing.

I wish that would happen more often.
