It sounds like they made limited copies. BestBuy only had one copy, the one I preordered. GameStop has none. Walmart, none. To make things odder, it seems they made one universal North American release. The box art has both English and French, which you normally only get on copies of games sold in Canada. Looking at it again and it also includes Spanish, so this release must be for all of NA which is very unusual.

Better Amazon it now I guess. The vs mechagodzilla video looked fun. If vs mode online works nice, even better.
Destructoid's review veers dangerously close to hyperbolic trash territory and says it looks like a PS2 game at times.
The game is a level of quality I haven't seen in a long time. Great for fans of Toho Godzilla and no one else.

I do agree about upgrades and the city can be really ugly. The game needs to make it clearer that roaring is practically a block.

I think it's really funny that this game has a 24fps cinematic filter in the options.
I think the monsters and particles look fine most of the time. The rest is pretty dated.
That got surprisingly good reviews. I think a lot of people were taken by the ambition of the game, but I'm pretty sure all of them bitched about how poorly it ran (which it did, admittedly).
Agreed, it looks like a circa 2009 PS3 game. Which considering the budget and the fact that it's a PS3 game, makes sense
I had a really hard time playing that back in the day. Would probably enjoy it more now.

I'm really enjoying the game, but coming from DAMM/STE (I just played some last night) it's a big difference and it's taking a bit to get used to.
I just wish it used more classic Godzilla music, I may need to make a playlist on my USB.
Fighting other monsters is really fun. I probably should have picked the hard instead of normal paths, it's kind of easy. I see myself getting a lot of play out of this though.
The graphics don't bother me. The Kaiju look great and the framerate is a steady 60fps.

Yeah I passed it up back then after seeing an xplay review. It's actually not bad at all ( mech fights anyway).

Anyone worried about "Exclusive pre-order DLC" will be happy to know it's all just early unlocks and everything is still in the game no matter where you buy it.
I love the little attentions to detail like Godzilla 64 has kind of a floppy head past the neck point where the actor would have less control. '64 Goji also has regular fire breath and does that Space Monster dance when charging forward.

It's all unlockable anyway so no big deal. No reason not to download it though really.

The PS3 version is 39.99 but it is missing a lot of things from the PS4 version.

I'm confused by hard mode. I always ran into the world destroying 100m MechaGodzilla on mission 2 until my last run. Was 55m Hedorah instead aka a cakewalk. Must be luck of the draw? Hard mode isn't very difficult if you can avoid the 100m monsters early on.
Quick question. Can you do all twenty levels in a single playthrough of Destruction mode or do you have to choose a path and stick to it like in Star Fox 64?
I'm going to get this when I've finished Arkham Knight and I'd like to know how many playthroughs I have ahead of me since I want to beat all 20 stages with every monster.
