I'm fine with my photos not having depth. I just don't want this turned on all the time.

Are there any comparisons between the XL 2 and the LG V30 yet? I have an XL preordered, but I'm still planning on checking out the V30. This is going to be my first Android phone after years of iPhone, so I'm tempted by the stock Android, but I love the look of the V30.

woah the V30 looks amazing hardware design wise. If the XL2 had looked as good I would have preordered it.

The very first thing that came to my mind was "man, Apple really fucked up with the iPhone X".

I think the iPhone x looks better to be honest. The only thing that I can't get with is the top bezel thing. Otherwise the x could have been THE phone.

But the price for the pixel is good, I think.

I think this is just portrait mode where software tries to make up for not having two cameras.

The good thing is it's software so Google could fix issues potentially.

I doubt it's 'on' by default. These kinds of things are usually applied in a filter mode.

highlights don't destroy detail like they do on the 8+ either

Goddamnit...looks like I'm just gonna get a OnePlus 5 after all. Pixel 2 XL is too expensive; LG V30 is equally as expensive; Pixel 2 regular version looks shit (aesthetically speaking) for its price. I mean, the OP5 has the same CPU, more RAM, dual cameras, dual SIM support, and a headphone jack for almost half the price. I'd get a HTC U11 but I'm not massively into the shiny thing that its got going on (plus it doesn't have a headphone jack).

pixel 1 already had unlimited photo storage.

iirc the way it worked is that it just checked if your phone was a pixel or not, so it shouldn't matter if you get it used.
